Proteam Motorsport
Proteam Motorsport is an Italian auto racing team based in Arezzo that was set up by former driver Valmiro Presenzini in 1997. They are best known for their efforts in the FIA World Touring Car Championship. Their time in the WTCC has seen them become the most successful independent team in the championship, winning three Independent Team titles in 1996, 2007 and 2008. Initially the team would enter Renault related events across Europe. Presenzini himself competed in The Renault Clio Cup, Renault 5 Turbo Cup and the Megane cup. After success in these series, they started a programme for the European Touring Car Championship, which they entered in 2003. They have entered cars in the Italian Clio Cup, the Ferrari Challenge, and as of 2006, the Italian Superturismo Championship with driver Cristian Ricciarini. World Touring Car Championship
The FIA World Touring Car Championship was an international touring car championship promoted by Eurosport Events and sanctioned by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA). It has had several different incarnations, including a single season in 1987 as the World Touring Car Championship and most recently a world championship (WTCC) that has run between 2005 and 2017. Following the 2017 season, an agreement was reached for the FIA WTCC to become FIA WTCR and use the TCR technical regulations. Tom Coronel
Tom Romeo Coronel (born 5 April 1972) is a Dutch professional racing driver. Tom's twin brother Tim Coronel, Tim is also a racer, just like their father Tom Coronel Sr. His most important results are winning the Masters of Formula 3, Marlboro Masters of Formula 3 race in 1997, the Formula Nippon championship in 1999, and the 2006 and 2009 World Touring Car Championship Independents' Trophy. As of September 2016, Tom Coronel has driven over 1,000 races. He is currently still racing in the World Touring Car Championship, WTCC, where he won his first WTCC race in Okayama, Japan in 2008. Kevin Nai Chia Chen (Traditional Chinese: 陳乃嘉; born April 2, 1979, in Taipei) is a Taiwanese racing driver, who obtained the first FIA A license by a Taiwanese driver. Career The Californian's career started in the United States as a club racer in the Sports Car Club of America, where he won the Touring 2 Championship in 2003. In 2004, he continued in Touring 2, and again won the championship title. In 2005, he was runner-up in the Show Room Stock B class, and also competed in the Pro Spec Miata series, earning several podium finishes. Chen also set a new track record at Willow Springs Raceway, California with his Show Room Stock B BMW Z4 car. is a Japanese racing driver and drifting (motorsport), drifting driver who currently competes in the Super GT racing series. Taniguchi is commonly nicknamed "NOB" (first three letters from his name, meaning "No One Better") or "The Pimp" as a reference to his S15 Silvia which he is best known for. Vito Postiglione (born 28 February 1977 in Potenza) is an Italian racing driver. Racing career Postiglione won the Italian Renault Mégane Winter Trophy in 1998. He then finished runner-up in the main series in 1999. He went one better, winning the trophy the following year. Naturally, he moved up to the Renault Clio Sport Eurocup and was runner-up in his first season in 2001. The following season was not so good for Postiglione, finishing fifth. He finished third in 2003 and also won his class in the annual Vallelunga 6 Hours in a BMW M3. After finishing fourth in the Clio Eurocup in 2004 he moved to the Italian Ferrari Challenge for 2005. Félix Porteiro Pérez (born 26 August 1983 in Castellón, Spain) is a Spanish racing driver. He competed in GP2 Series in 2006, his best finish was 6th (was second on the road at Silverstone, but a steering rack irregularity caused him to be disqualified). Brands Hatch is a motor racing circuit in West Kingsdown, Kent, England, United Kingdom.
