Beaulieu Park Railway Station
Beaulieu Park railway station is a station in construction on the Great Eastern Main Line in the East of England that will serve a new development in Boreham, approximately to the north-east of Chelmsford, Essex. It will be situated between to the west and to the east. It was originally expected to open in 2019, though due to numerous issues, mainly relating to funding, this date has been pushed back a number of times, most recently to 2026. The Beaulieu development will include thousands of new homes, three schools, a business park, surgery, hotel, and parkland, as well as the station which will also serve the neighbourhoods of Boreham and Springfield to help relieve congestion at Chelmsford's main station. Gilsland Railway Station
Gilsland railway station was a railway station on the Newcastle and Carlisle Railway, on the to section. It was situated near the centre of the village of Gilsland. History The line became part of the North Eastern Railway on 17 July 1862, then, at grouping in 1923, it became part of the London and North Eastern Railway. The station was originally opened on 19 July 1836 when it was known as ''Rose Hill''. It was later renamed ''Gilsland'' on 1 May 1869. After having been proposed for closure in the Beeching report, the station was closed to passengers on 2 January 1967. Goods facilities were withdrawn on 5 April 1965. Proposed reopening The potential for the station's reopening was assessed in 2001 and in 2005 in the Tyne Valley Route Strategy. Woodchurch Railway Station
Woodchurch is a proposed railway station in Merseyside, situated between Upton and Heswall on the Borderlands Line. According to the Core Strategy for Wirral report, compiled by the local council, Woodchurch railway station is one of the council's long-term objectives. The proposal was also mentioned in Merseytravel's 30-year plan of 2014. The October 2017 Liverpool City Region Combined Authority update to the Long Term Rail Strategy mentions the station as being built between Network Rail Control Periods CP5 and CP7. Vauxhall Railway Station (Merseyside)
Vauxhall railway station is a proposed railway station in the Vauxhall area of Liverpool. If it is constructed it will be sited between and on the Merseyrail Northern Line. Town Meadow Railway Station
Town Meadow is a proposed railway station to serve the west of Moreton near Meols in the Wirral, England. The station would be situated on the West Kirby branch of the Wirral Line. The planned station forms part of the wider Local Transport Plan for Merseyside and is included on page 139 of the 2011–2015 document among other proposed stations at Carr Mill, Beechwood, Woodchurch and Deeside. Merseytravel found in a survey carried out in 2010 that support for the station was high. The proposed station would serve existing and new developments in Moreton. The Under-Secretary of State for Transport, Paul Maynard MP, visited the site in April 2017 with local councillors, to back calls for the building of the station. Liverpool Baltic Railway Station
Liverpool Baltic railway station is a proposed station awaiting planning permission in the Baltic Triangle area of Liverpool, England, which is to be built on the Northern Line of Merseyrail. Skelmersdale Railway Station
Skelmersdale railway station was a station located on the Skelmersdale branch at Skelmersdale, England. The station was originally named Blague Gate, having its name changed to Skelmersdale on 8 August 1874 and carried passengers from 1858 to 1956. History The station was one of several built by the East Lancashire Railway on their branch line from Ormskirk to Rainford Junction. It opened on 1 March 1858, but after a year became part of the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway system when the ELR was taken over by that company. The station consisted of two platforms with the main building on the northbound side. A wooden signal box was provided to control the adjacent level crossing, passing loop and nearby goods yard. Golborne South Railway Station
Golborne South railway station was one of two stations serving the town of Golborne, to the south of Wigan. The early line and station to 1849 The line was opened by the Wigan Branch Railway (WBR) in 1832 from to as a single track with passing places although the trackbed had been engineered for double track. In 1834 the WBR became part of the North Union Railway (NUR) and they doubled the track in time for the opening of the line northwards to in 1838. Fleetwood Railway Station
There have been three locations for Fleetwood railway station in Fleetwood, Lancashire, England. The first, from 1840 to 1883, was in Dock Street, opposite Church Street. The second, from 1883 to 1966, was in Queen's Terrace. From 1966 to 1970, the station previously known as Wyre Dock railway station was renamed "Fleetwood". Cottam Parkway Railway Station
Cottam Parkway is a proposed railway station to the west of Preston, England. The proposed station would serve existing and new developments in the Lea civil parish. Development As part of the original Preston Local Plan, the station would have been constructed in 2022/23 adjacent to the Preston Western Distributor Road, which links to the M55 motorway. In the amended plan the Cottam station looked set to be removed because of uncertainty over its location. Preston was shortlisted for the Transforming City Fund, including a proposal to fund Cottam railway station. It was then planned to submit a planning application in 2022, which if successful would have lead to an opening in 2024 or 2025.
