Proper Filthy Naughty
Proper Filthy Naughty is a musical production duo consisting of John Ross and Joe Williams, who have also worked under the names Salamander and The Light. They have had releases on Platipus Records, FFRR, and Hooj Choons. Their single "Expand the Room" (done as The Light) was featured on several compilations such as Sasha & John Digweed's '' Northern Exposure: Expeditions''. In the 2000s, they changed their name to Proper Filthy Naughty and have since released several singles on 10 Kilo. Platipus Records was a British trance music record label that was based in London, England. It was founded in 1993 by Simon Berry, and early releases included Union Jack (band), Union Jack and Art of Trance. Later, the label included artists like Dawnseekers and Quietman. Sublabels included Gekko and Platipus Euro. Platipus Records Ltd ceased trading in 2010. FFRR
FFRR Records (sometimes credited as Full Frequency Range Recordings) is a dance music label founded as a subsidiary of London Records in 1986, with A&R run by the British DJ Pete Tong. Originally a part of London Records' label roster, FFRR is currently a sublabel of Parlophone, a division of Warner Music Group. Its activities were mostly halted in the early 2000s, until the label was revived in 2011. Its catalog was sold off in 2017, but the label was revived a second time in 2021, this time with a new identity. The original incarnation of FFRR was founded in 1986, and also had two subsidiaries: Double F Double R Records and Ffrreedom Records. Hooj Choons
Hooj Choons is a house record label co-founded in 1990 by Alex Simons and Red Jerry (real name Jeremy Dickens). The first release was "Carnival da Casa" by Rio Rhythm Band, however, it was not until the 1992 release of Felix (dance music), Felix's "Don't You Want Me", which Red Jerry and Faithless founder-member Rollo Armstrong, Rollo co-produced, that Hooj Choons had their first crossover hit. Over the next ten years, Hooj Choons had several notable releases including productions from artists such as Diss-Cuss, Tilt (producers), Tilt, Oliver Lieb and JX (artist), JX. The label built up a roster of popular club hits, some with widespread commercial success, and smaller underground classics over 20 years. Sasha & John Digweed are a British DJ duo comprising Sasha and John Digweed. Digweed had been DJing for ten years before getting a gig at Renaissance where he met Sasha, who had been working the past few years in various acid house music clubs and raves. Together, they honed their DJ skills, focusing on track selection and technical mixing abilities. In 1994, they released the triple CD mix album '' Renaissance: The Mix Collection'' on Renaissance Records. It contained many popular dance hits of the time from artists such as Leftfield, Fluke, and 2 Bad Mice as well as original productions and remixes from themselves.
