"Pronto a correre" (English: ''Ready to run'') is a song recorded by Italian singer Marco Mengoni for his album '' #prontoacorrere''. The track, written by Mark Owen, Benjamin Mark Weaver, Jamie Norton, David James Harvey Gibson, Marco Mengoni and Ermal Meta, was produced by Michele Canova. After being released in April 2013 as the second single from the album, it peaked at number seven on the Italian FIMI Top Digital Downloads chart and it was certified platinum for domestic downloads exceeding 30,000 units. Background The song was originally written in English, with the title "Put the Light On", by English singer-songwriter Mark Owen, together with Benjamin Mark Weaver, Jamie Norton and David James Harvey Gibson. Marco Mengoni (; born 25 December 1988) is an Italian pop singer-songwriter who rose to fame in 2009, after winning the third season of Italian talent show '' X Factor''. Since that he has sold over 2.8 million records in Italy, peaking the Italian albums chart seven consecutive times and entering the Top 10 Italian Singles Chart fifteen times. He won the Sanremo Music Festival in 2013 and again in 2023. Foro Italico is a sports complex in Rome, Italy, on the slopes of Monte Mario. It was built between 1928 and 1938 as the Foro Mussolini (literally Mussolini's Forum) under the design of Enrico Del Debbio and, later, Luigi Moretti. ''The Voice of Italy'' is a reality singing competition and Italian version of the international syndication '' The Voice'' based on the reality singing competition launched in the Netherlands, created by Dutch television producer John de Mol. The inaugural season was in 2013 with the first episode airing on Rai 2 on March 7, 2013, the series ended on June 7, 2019 after 6 seasons.
