''Promi Big Brother 2018'', also known as ''Promi Big Brother 6'' was the sixth season of the German reality television series '' Promi Big Brother''. The show began airing on 17 August 2018 on Sat.1 Sat.1 is a German free-to-air television channel that is a part of the ProSiebenSat.1 Media Group. It is considered the first privately owned television network in Germany, having been launched in January 1984 as ''PKS'' ''(Programmgesellschaf ... and ended after 17 days on 31 August 2018. It was the sixth season of the ''Big Brother'' in total to air on Sat.1 to date. Jochen Schropp returned as host of the show and with new host Marlene Lufen. Silvia Wollny was announced as the winner of the season, with Chethrin Schulze as the runner-up. Format Promis had participated in tasks and matches for treats or to avoid punishments. Jochen Schropp
Jochen Alexander Schropp (born 22 November 1978 in Lahn-Giessen, Hesse) is a German actor and television host. Biography Schropp was born in 1978 as the child of a teacher and a medical assistant in the former municipality of Gießen in the city of Lahn. After his high school year in Visalia, California, where Schropp gained his first acting experience, he played at the American theater in Giessen. In addition, he also worked as a small actor, extras and in advertising and began training as a vocalist and speaker at the Hessischer Rundfunk in Frankfurt. Ich Bin Ein Star – Holt Mich Hier Raus! (season 10)
In the last episode of Season 9 the presenters Zietlow and Hartwich announced that the show would return for a 10th anniversary season in January 2016. In early August 2015 RTL broadcast a spin-off of the show called "Ich bin ein Star, lasst mich wieder rein" ("I am a celebrity, get me back in"), in which contestants of the nine original seasons competed against each other in order to get a chance to participate in the jubilee season. In total nine episodes and a final were shown, in which three contestants of each season took part. In the final the viewers selected the Queen of the Jungle of the 6th season Brigitte Nielsen to return to the show for the upcoming season. The other contestants were announced in early January 2016. Some new rules were added to the original procedure. For the first time in the show's history 12 participants were announced to compete.
