Project EnergyConnect
Project EnergyConnect is a new electricity transmission line under construction which will connect the South Australia and New South Wales districts of the National Electricity Market in Australia. Riverlink was a previous working title for the project, drawn from a proposal first raised in 1999. The Australian Energy Market Operator used RiverLink in its proposal for this interconnector, but the transmission companies in South Australia (ElectraNet) and New South Wales (TransGrid) now call it EnergyConnect. South Australia and New South Wales already each have connections to Victoria, which also has a connection across Bass Strait to Tasmania, and New South Wales also has connections to Queensland. The connection between New South Wales and South Australia is intended to provide resilience and redundancy to the network. Tungkillo (, postcode 5236, altitude 299m) is a town in South Australia, located approximately south of Mount Pleasant. It sits on Adelaide-Mannum Road, north-east of the state capital, Adelaide and north-west of Mannum. At the , Tungkillo had a population of 360. Tungkillo was originally the name of a mine located south of Palmer, which opened in 1847. Bundey, South Australia
Bundey is a locality in the Mid North region of South Australia. It is located on Goyder's Line, on the plains between Burra and Morgan in the Regional Council of Goyder. The bounded locality of Bundey corresponds to the boundaries of the cadastral Hundred of Bundey, except for the southwestern corner of the Hundred which is the northeastern corner of the locality of Geranium Plains. Bundey was named in 1878 for politician William Henry Bundey. The area was originally the territory of the Ngadjuri people. Following European settlement, it was surveyed into 500 acre blocks and taken up by farmers in 1879. Bundey Post Office opened on 1 May 1882 and closed on 1 October 1901. Bundey Immanuel Lutheran Church was established in 1889. The first building was pug and daub. The black-eared miner (''Manorina melanotis'') is an endangered honeyeater endemic to mallee woodland in south-eastern Australia. Taxonomy ''Manorina melanotis'' was identified by Francis Erasmus Wilson in 1911. It is closely related to the much more widely distributed yellow-throated miner ''M. flavigula'', and the taxonomic status of the black-eared miner is the subject of some controversy, with some researchers considering it a subspecies of ''M. flavigula''.
