Conny Plank
Konrad "Conny" Plank (3 May 1940 – 5 December 1987) was a German record producer and musician. He is known for his innovative work as a sound engineer and producer in Germany's krautrock and kosmische music scene in the 1970s. Plank was involved in releases by Neu!, Kraftwerk, Cluster, Harmonia, Ash Ra Tempel, Guru Guru, Kraan, and other German groups of the era. ''Maschi e Altri'' is the ninth album by Gianna Nannini. It is her first compilation album, and it was released in 1987 in South America, South Korea, Israel, South Africa and Australia. It includes some of her most successful singles, including "Profumo" (who topped the Greek charts), "I Maschi" (who debuted at the "World Popular Song Festival” in Tokyo) and "Avventura" (who became popular when Philips used it for a commercial advertising Metalalkaline batteries). Nannini did not tour to promote the album but she took part in a concert at the Schauspielhaus in Hamburg on May 1, 1987, where she performed a selection of songs by Bertoldt Brecht and Kurt Weill alongside Sting and Jack Bruce. ''Puzzle'' is the sixth album by Gianna Nannini. It was released in 1984. The first single from the album, "Fotoromanza", was a summer hit and went on to win the Festivalbar, Vota la Voce and a Gold Telegatto Award. The music video was directed by Michelangelo Antonioni. The album went platinum in Italy, with "Fotoromanza" topping the charts in Italy, Switzerland and Austria.
