''Professori Uuno D.G. Turhapuro'' is a Finnish 1975 comedy film written by Spede Pasanen and directed by Ere Kokkonen. It is the second film in the Uuno Turhapuro series. Plot Uuno is unemployed and his friends try to arrange a job for him. With his imagination, though, and the help of Härski Hartikainen (Spede Pasanen), he somehow manages to avoid all work, until he becomes what he has always dreamt of being - a film star. Ere Kokkonen
Erkki Olavi "Ere" Kokkonen (7 July 1938 – 16 October 2008), born in Savonlinna, was a Finnish film director and screenwriter. He worked closely with Spede Pasanen all the way from the 1960s until Spede's death, as a director, writer and also an actor. Kokkonen's feature film debut was ''Millipilleri'' (1966), co-directed with Spede Pasanen and Jukka Virtanen (director), Jukka Virtanen. In later decades, when Turhapuro films were made less frequently, Kokkonen scripted and directed the ''Vääpeli Körmy'' series of films His career as a director also includes filming of Arto Paasilinna, Arto Paasilinna's books, including ''The Ten Graters'' and ''A Charming Mass Suicide (film), A Charming Mass Suicide''. Councillor Tuura
Councillor Tuura is a fictional character in the Finland, Finnish comedy film series Uuno Turhapuro. He is the father of Uuno's wife Elisabeth Turhapuro (née Tuura), Uuno's father-in-law and married with Reetta Tuura, Elisabeth's mother. Uuno wrings when he speaking the official title of Councillor Tuura, ''vuorineuvos'' to ''vuoristoneuvos''. He is chief executive officer of the Tuura Company. Councillor Tuura has many first names during the film series: Voldemar, Karolus, Taneli, Elmeri, Valtter and Hugo. His secretary is Miss Unelma Säleikkö. Uuno Turhapuro is a Finnish comedy character and antihero created by Spede Pasanen and played by Vesa-Matti Loiri. Originally appearing in ''Spede Show'' during 1971–1973, the character gained popularity through the Uuno Turhapuro films. History Birth of the character Spede Pasanen originally had the idea for the Uuno Turhapuro character when the first lottery draw of the Finnish company Veikkaus had been shown on Finnish television in January 1971. Pasanen designed a new sketch for his show '' Spede Show'' about a couple arguing about how to invest their lottery winnings even before the actual lottery draw. Pasanen had earlier thought of characteristics including laziness and an ability to explain matters for the character of the husband several years ago. Pertti Olavi "Spede" Pasanen (10 April 1930 – 7 September 2001) was a Finnish film director and producer, comedian, and inventor, who has been called an "all-around entertainer". During his career he directed, wrote, produced or acted in about 50 movies and participated in numerous TV productions, including the comedy '' Spede Show'' and the game-show '' Speden Spelit''. Much of his more commercial work was in collaboration with Vesa-Matti Loiri (whose most popular character created by Pasanen was Uuno Turhapuro; first in TV sketches and then in a long-lasting series of motion pictures) and Simo Salminen.
