"Professional Distortion" is the debut solo single from Miss Kittin's debut solo album ''I Com''. It became her first solo song to chart on the French and UK singles charts. It was later included on her 2005 EP '' Mixing Me''. Critical reception Lowri Williams of Gigwise.com said, "Heavily engrossed with unforgettable synthesisers and loops, this track really is electronic music at its best featuring the Queen of the scene." By contrast, Terry Sawyer of PopMatters commented that the song "wastes a beautiful bassline that rides into the speakers like a skipped stone by saddling it with the Ladytron monotone of the lyrics." Caroline Hervé (born 1973), known professionally as Miss Kittin, is a French electronic music producer, DJ, singer, and songwriter. Since rising to prominence in 1998 for her singles "1982" and " Frank Sinatra" with The Hacker, she has worked with other musicians such as Chicks on Speed, Felix da Housecat and Golden Boy. She released her debut solo album '' I Com'' in 2004, a second, '' BatBox'', in 2008, and a third, '' Calling from the Stars'', in 2013. Otto von Schirach (born March 10, 1978 in Miami, Florida) is an American IDM and breakcore musician. Of Cuban and German heritage, he grew up in the Little Havana neighborhood of Miami and heavily incorporates elements of Miami bass into his music. He started out DJing at house parties in the 1990s and began composing his own music. In 2001 he released his first album, ''8000 B.C.'', on his own Triangle Earth label. Modeselektor is a German electronic music duo consisting of Gernot Bronsert and Sebastian Szary. History The group members met in 1992 in Berlin with group member Szary performing live acid house music at illegal underground parties, under the moniker Fundamental Knowledge.
