Pro Cycling Manager
''Pro Cycling Manager'' is a series of cycling management and real-time simulation games created by Cyanide. The game was first launched in 2001 as ''Cycling Manager'', but the series took on the Pro label in June 2005. A new version is released every year to coincide with the Tour de France. The game is offered in a variety of languages (including French, English, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Danish, Norwegian, Portuguese) although the actual language configuration depends on the local publisher. ''Pro Cycling Manager'' runs on the PC. The game is produced in cooperation with most of the main professional cycling teams under the aegis of the IPCT and the AIGCP. In September 2007 a PlayStation Portable version of the game was released, called ''Pro Cycling''. It is engineered to take advantage of PSP gameplay and it offers a limited management mode. Track Cycling
Track cycling is a bicycle racing sport usually held on specially built banked tracks or velodromes using purpose-designed track bicycles. History Track cycling has been around since at least 1870. Points Race
A points race is a mass start track cycling event involving large numbers of riders simultaneously on track. It was an Olympic event for men between 1984–2008 and for women 1996–2008. Starting in 2012, the points race is one of the omnium events in the Olympics. Description The races are run over 40 km for men and 25 km for women in UCI championships. A sprint is held every ten laps, with 5, 3, 2, and 1 point(s) being awarded to the top four finishers in each sprint. The winner of the race is the one to have the most points at the end of the race. In addition to the sprints, any riders managing to lap the main field are awarded an extra 20 points.
