Prisia Nasution
Prisia Wulansari Nasution or better known as Prisia Nasution (born in Jakarta, Indonesia 1 June 1984) is an Indonesian actress, model and martial artist of mixed Javanese and Batak descent. Biography Early life Nasution was born in Jakarta, Indonesia on 1 June 1984. Beginning in junior high school, Nasution joined the national training camp for the Indonesian martial art '' pencak silat''. She later attended Swiss German University, majoring in information technology. In 2003, during her university studies, Nasution was offered a chance to become a runway model. She accepted as she thought it would be an easy way to earn money, but soon discovered that she lacked the confidence to do it professionally; in a 2011 interview with ''The Jakarta Post'' she said her thighs were too big, making her body "defective" for modelling. Ronggeng ( jv, ꦫꦺꦴꦁꦒꦺꦁ, translit=ronggèng) is a type of Javanese dance in which couples exchange poetic verses as they dance to the music of a rebab or violin and a gong. Ronggeng might have originated from Java in Indonesia. Ronggeng probably has existed in Java since ancient time, the bas reliefs in Karmawibhanga section on eighth century Borobudur displays the scene of travelling entertainment troupe with musicians and female dancers. In Java, a traditional ronggeng performance features a traveling dance troupe that travels from village to village. Oka Antara (born Nyoman Oka Wisnupada Antara; 8 July 1981) is an Indonesian actor of Balinese descent. He is best known for starring in the films ''Sang Penari'' (2011), ''V/H/S/2'' (2013), '' Killers'' (2014), and ''The Raid 2'' (2014). Life and career Antara was born in Jakarta on 8 July 1981. Andrea Hirata (born October 24, 1967) is an Indonesian author best known for the 2005 novel ''Laskar Pelangi'' ("The Rainbow Troops") and its sequels. Biography Hirata was born in Gantung, Belitung. While he was young, his parents changed his name seven times. They eventually settled on the name Andrea, while the name Hirata was given by his mother. He grew up in a poor family not far from a government-owned mine. Hirata started his tertiary education with a degree in economics from the University of Indonesia. After receiving a scholarship from the European Union, he did his master's degree in Europe, first at the University of Paris then at Sheffield Hallam University in Britain; his thesis dealt with telecommunications and the economy.
