Primvs Derby
The ''Primvs'' derby, also known as Unicul derby (English: ''The One derby''), is a Association football, football List of sports rivalries, derby match between Romanian Football club (association football), clubs FC Rapid București, Rapid București and FC Petrolul Ploiești, Petrolul Ploiești. It is called ''Primvs derby'' because one of the earliest rivalries in Romanian football was between Petrolul's predecessor FC Petrolul Ploiești, Juventus București and FC Rapid București, CFR București (the original name of FC Rapid București, Rapid București), a rivalry which dates back to the interwar period. Muntenia
Muntenia (, also known in English as Greater Wallachia) is a historical region of Romania, part of Wallachia (also, sometimes considered Wallachia proper, as ''Muntenia'', ''Țara Românească'', and the seldom used ''Valahia'' are synonyms in Romanian). It is situated between the Danube (south and east), the Carpathian Mountains (the Transylvanian Alps branch) and Moldavia (both north), and the Olt River to the west. Grivița
Grivița () is a district of Bucharest, Romania, centered on the Grivița Railway Yards (''Atelierele CFR Grivița''), which were and still are an important landmark within the manufacturing landscape of the city. Located near Gara de Nord, their history dates back to the late decades of the 19th century, when they were developed in order to perform maintenance and overhaul of railway equipment serving Căile Ferate Române. The name reflects the Romanian spelling for ''Grivitsa'', a village near Pleven, where one of the Ottoman redoubts in the Plevna's defenses was stormed and captured with heavy casualties by the Romanian Army during the Romanian War of Independence (''see Siege of Plevna''). In honor of this victory, Calea Târgoviștei, a street in Bucharest that led to the road that connected the capital with the city of Târgoviște, is renamed Calea Griviței. 1994–95 Cupa României
The 1994–95 Cupa României was the 57th edition of Romania's most prestigious football cup competition. The title was won by Petrolul Ploiești against Rapid București. Format The competition is an annual knockout tournament. First round proper matches are played on the ground of the lowest ranked team, then from the second round proper the matches are played on a neutral location. If a match is drawn after 90 minutes, the game goes into extra time. If the match is still tied, the result is decided by penalty kicks. In the semi-finals, each tie is played as a two legs. Stadionul Steaua (1974)
Steaua Stadium ( ro, Stadionul Steaua), informally also known as Ghencea, was a football stadium in Bucharest, Romania, which served as the home of Steaua București. It was inaugurated on 9 April 1974 when Steaua played a friendly game against OFK Belgrade, 2–2. Gheorghe Tătaru was the first player to score in the stadium. The stadium was entirely demolished in 2018, and was replaced with a new all-seater stadium opened in 2021. History At the time it was one of the first ''football-only'' stadiums ever built in Romania, as there are no athletic (track and field) facilities, and the stands are very close to the pitch. The original capacity was 30,000 on benches, but in 1991 when the plastic seats were installed, the capacity dropped to 28,365, along with 126 press seats, 440 seats in VIP boxes and 733 armchairs. Răducanu Necula (born 10 May 1946), widely known as Rică Răducanu, is a retired Romanian football goalkeeper.
