Primera División Peruana 2004
The 2004 Torneo Descentralizado (known as the Copa Cable Mágico for sponsorship reasons) was the eighty-eighth season of Peruvian football. A total of 14 teams competed in the tournament, with Alianza Lima as the defending champion. Alianza Lima won its twenty-first Primera División title after beating Sporting Cristal in the final playoff. Changes from 2003 Structural changes The number of teams for the 2004 season grew from 12 to 14. The relegation system was re-introduced but the system was determined by a points per match average. The qualification for the Copa Sudamericana was determined by the aggregate table instead of the Torneo Apertura playoffs. Due to a structure change in the Copa Libertadores, only two teams will qualify directly to the group stage (the half-year champions) and the best-placed non-champion will have to play in the first stage. 2003 Copa Perú
The 2003 Copa Perú season (), the promotion tournament of Peruvian football. The tournament has 5 stages. The first four stages are played as mini-league round-robin tournaments, except for third stage in region IV, which is played as a knockout stage. The final stage features two knockout rounds and a final four-team group stage to determine the two promoted teams. The 2003 Peru Cup started with the District Stage () on February. Estadio Monumental Virgen De Chapi
Estadio de la UNSA (official name) is a multi-purpose stadium located in Arequipa, Peru. The stadium was built by the University of San Agustín in the early 1990s and named after the Virgin Chapi. Due to its size, the term ''Monumental'' is added to its name. The stadium was largely financed by a lottery fund-raiser held by the university itself. The Estadio Alejandro Villanueva, popularly known as Matute, is a football stadium located in the Matute neighborhood of the La Victoria district in Lima, Peru. The Estadio Campeones del 36 is a multi-use stadium in Sullana, Peru. It is used by the football team Alianza Atlético. The stadium holds 12,000 people and was built in 2000. It is a small stadium which was expanded. The venue name, ''Champions of 1936'', is misleading. No Peruvian League was actually played in 1936, as the national team was preparing itself to compete in the 1936 Summer Olympics in Germany. Alianza Atlético did, however, win a Campeonato Nacional de Fútbol (representing their home region, Piura) governed by the Peruvian Football Federation, and the name stuck despite not being recognized officially as national champions thereafter. Club Coronel Bolognesi FC
Club Deportivo Coronel Bolognesi is a Peruvian football club located in the city of Tacna. Originally founded on 18 October 1929, It was named after Francisco Bolognesi. Years later, a second branch of the club called Club Sport Bolito, was founded on 27 May 1998. The club quickly surpassed its older counterpart's achievements and, following its success in 2001 Copa Perú, the president's club Elena Martorell (Fernando Martorell's sister, then president of CD Coronel Bolognesi), decided to change the club's name to Coronel Bolognesi Fútbol Club, in order to further identify both clubs's identities and share their successes.
