Primera División De Fútbol De El Salvador
The Primera División de Fútbol Profesional de El Salvador (First Division of Professional Football of El Salvador), more commonly known as La Liga Mayor or La Primera, also known as Liga Pepsi for sponsorship reasons, is the top professional association football, football league in El Salvador. It was established in 1947, and in 2011 had 10 clubs. Initially the league was run as a year-long tournament, but since 1998 there are two tournaments each year, much like in many other football leagues in the Americas. The Apertura season runs from August to December, while the Clausura season runs from February to July. Of the 56 teams to have competed in the league, C.D. FAS, FAS has won the title 19 times, followed by Alianza F.C. (El Salvador), Alianza (18), C.D. Aguila, Aguila (17), C.D. Luis Angel Firpo, Firpo and A.D. Quequeisque
Quequeisque was a professional football club in Nueva San Salvador, El Salvador, which have played the Primera División de Fútbol Profesional. They are the only team in El Salvador besides Hércules in soccer history to win 5 or more straight championships ( Salvadoran football champions). Although the tournaments won were only in the Central Zone Region of El Salvador, they are often considered as national titles. History Quequeisque were founded in 1896, being one of the first football clubs founded in El Salvador. They got their name from the Quequeisque farm from Santa Tecla. Walter Soundy (Scottish second generation) a notable person in Santa Tecla was the founder of the team, he was the owner of the Quequeisque farm. Estadio Cuscatlán
The Estadio Cuscatlán is a football stadium located in the city of San Salvador, El Salvador. It was inaugurated in 1976. It can hold 53,400 spectators, making it the Association Football stadium with the largest spectator capacity in Central America and the Caribbean. The stadium has undergone several renovations, including in 1997; 2007; 2008; 2015, with the change of colors alluding to the country's flag (blue and white); and the most recent in 2020, with the installation of a new screen 100m² 4K LED and 54 new 1,500-watt metal halide luminaires with a capacity of 1,000 luxes, and an automated irrigation system. Alejandro de la Cruz Bentos (born May 3, 1978) is an Argentine retired footballer. Club career Guaraní Antonio Francor Bentos started out his career with Guaraní Antonio Franco in his native town of Corrientes in 1996. Puente Seco de Corrientes In 1999, he was part of Puente Seco de Corrientes title winning team. Due to his success with the club, he moved on to play with Deportivo Morón. FAS In 2001, he moved to El Salvador to play with one of the country biggest clubs, FAS. During his time with the Santa Ana club, he would go on to play an integral part in the club winning the league title 5 times from 2002 to 2005. Víctor Manuel Velásquez Molina (born April 12, 1976) is a retired Salvadoran football player. Club career Velásquez started his career at Dragón in 1996 and left them after five years for Salvadoran giants FAS with whom he won five league titles. After another five years he moved to Alianza, only to join Águila in 2008. He then had a one-year spell with Municipal Limeño and rejoined FAS for a final season before retiring. International career Velásquez made his debut for El Salvador in a May 1999 friendly match against Colombia and has earned a total of 54 caps, scoring 4 goals. Williams Enrique Reyes Rodríguez (born October 30, 1976, in La Ceiba, Honduras) is a Honduran-born Salvadoran professional forward. Club career Reyes started his professional career at Deportes Savio, but crossed the Salvadoran border to play for Dragón in 2000. After only a year he moved on to FAS, with whom he would win 5 national league titles. In 2005, he joined Isidro Metapán to win three titles more, only to rejoin FAS in 2009 and add another championship. In January 2014, Reyes left FAS to rejoin Dragón, but he switched allegiance and joined local rival Águila for the 2015 Clausura season. International career Reyes played once for his native Honduras against a Hong Kong League XI during the 2004 Carlsberg Cup but never played in any official FIFA acknowledged match for them. Saul (; , ; , ; ) was a monarch of ancient Israel and Judah and, according to the Hebrew Bible and Old Testament, the first king of the United Monarchy, a polity of uncertain historicity.
