Previously Unreleased
''Previously Unreleased'' is a 1984 EP by the English guitarist Larry Wallis, released under the name Pink Fairies. The EP contains "As Long as the Price is Right" which had previously been issued as a single by Dr. Feelgood (who would cover "Talk of the Devil" and "Can't Find the Lady" on their ''Doctor's Orders'' and ''Mad Man Blues'' albums, respectively). That song, and "It's Coming Back Again" were both originally recorded by Wallis for his aborted solo LP for the Stiff label in considerably different form. The EP came out while Wallis was playing with Butler and Sanderson in a band with many names, most notably 'The Police Cars' and 'The Love Pirates of Doom' along with second guitarist Andy Colquhoun and was recorded at that time, though without Colquhoun's input. Pink Fairies
Pink Fairies are an English rock band initially active in the London (Ladbroke Grove) underground and psychedelic scene of the early 1970s. They promoted free music, drug use, and anarchy, and often performed impromptu gigs and other stunts, such as playing for nothing outside the gates at the Bath and Isle of Wight pop festivals in 1970, as well as appearing at Phun City, the first Glastonbury and many other free festivals including Windsor and Trentishoe. Larry Wallis
Larry Wallis (19 May 1949 – 19 September 2019) was an English guitarist, songwriter and producer. He was best known as a member of the Pink Fairies and an early member of Motörhead. Biography and career Early bands In 1968, he formed a band called The Entire Sioux Nation with Terry Nolder on vocals, Tim Taylor on bass and Paul Nichols on drums (born in 1949). The band split up in late 1969. Shagrat Steve Peregrin Took and Mick Farren formed Shagrat with Wallis and his ex-Entire Sioux Nation bandmate Taylor in February 1970. Live At The Roundhouse 1975
''Live at the Roundhouse 1975'' is a 1982 album of a 1975 concert by the UK underground group Pink Fairies. A one-off reunion concert featuring all five previous members of the group was organised by Ted Carroll, head of Chiswick Records. At the time of this gig, former member Paul Rudolph was also playing bass for Hawkwind and Larry Wallis was playing guitar for Motörhead. The tapes were licensed from Douglas Smith for release in 1982, although only part of the concert was issued, the rest being deemed unsuitable for public consumption. It was pressed on pink vinyl with a cover by long-standing collaborator Edward Barker featuring a pig which had become the band's ident. The track "Going Down" is a cover of the Freddie King song, but was erroneously credited to Lou Reed on the original release. ''Kill 'Em and Eat 'Em'' is a 1987 album by the UK underground group Pink Fairies. This is a reformed Pink Fairies, prompted by an offer from Jake Riviera, head of Demon Records. Of the five original group members, Paul Rudolph wasn't involved. Wallis' preference for having a fellow guitarist led to the inclusion of the only non-former member Andy Colquhoun, but Colquhoun had worked extensively alongside Wallis during the late 1980s Mick Farren group. Dingwalls
Dingwalls was a live music and comedy venue adjacent to Camden Lock, Camden, London, England. The building itself is one of many industrial Victorian buildings that were put to new use in the 20th century. The original owner of the building, T.E. Dingwall, had his name painted on to the outside wall of the building, which was a common practice by businesses in Camden Town during the late Victorian era. The paint is still visible to this day, hence the venue's name. The 500-capacity venue was bought by promoter Vince Power in June 2020 and continues to host gigs of contemporary music. It was renamed and reopened as The PowerHaus after a copyright issue blocked the use of its original name. The Deviants (band)
The Deviants (formerly The Social Deviants) were an English rock band originally active from late 1966 to 1969, but later used as a vehicle for the musical work of writer Mick Farren until his death in 2013. Farren has stated that The Deviants were originally a community band which "did things every now and then—it was a total assault thing with a great deal of inter-relation and interdependence". Musically, Mick Farren described that they were influenced by The Who, Charles Mingus, Velvet Underground, and Frank Zappa. Twink (musician)
John Charles Edward Alder (born 29 November 1944), also known as Twink, is an English drummer, actor, singer, and songwriter who was a central figure in the English psychedelic movement. In 2006, Alder converted to Islam, and changed his name to Mohammed Abdullah. However, he still records under the name Twink. Biography Early life and career Alder was born in Colchester, Essex, in the United Kingdom. Many of his family members were also musicians, including his grandmother, who was a concert pianist and soloist. Alder was interested in music from a young age. His professional career began in 1963 when he played the drums for Dane Stephens and the Deep Beats, a rhythm and blues band from Colchester.
