Pretty Gorgeous (foaled 24 February 2018) is a French-bred, Irish-trained Thoroughbred racehorse. She was one of the best two-year-olds in Europe in 2020 when she won three of her five races including the Debutante Stakes and the Fillies' Mile Background Pretty Gorgeous is a bay filly with a white blaze and three white socks bred in France by a partnership headed by the Ecurie Haras du Cadran. In December 2018 she was put up for auction at the Arqana sale and bought for €55,000 by the bloodstock agent Margaret O'Toole. As a yearling she was consigned to the Tattersalls sale in October 2019 and was bought for 525,000 guineas by the trainer Joseph Patrick O'Brien. Pretty Gorgeous is owned in partnership by O'Brien's mother Anne-Marie and John Oxley racing in alternating colours. She was taken into training with O'Brien at Owning Hill, County Kilkenny. Prix Jean Prat
The Prix Jean Prat is a Group 1 flat horse race in France open to three-year-old thoroughbred colts and fillies. It is run at Deauville over a distance of 1,400 metres (about 7 furlongs), and it is scheduled to take place each year in early July. History The event was established in 1858. It was originally the opening leg of a two-part series called the Prix Biennal. The second leg, for horses aged four or older, was first run in 1859. Both races were staged at Longchamp. The three-year-olds' division of the Prix Biennal was run over 2,000 metres. For a period it was held in April, and it served as a trial for the Prix du Jockey Club. Shane Crosse (born 21 September 2001) is an Irish jockey who competes in flat racing. Background Crosse comes from Cahir in County Tipperary in Ireland. His father Matt Crosse is a former jump jockey and brother Nathan Crosse is a flat-racing jockey. Crosse took part in pony racing and became an apprentice jockey at the yard of trainer Joseph O'Brien while he was still at school. Harbour Law
Harbour Law (foaled 30 March 2013) is a British Thoroughbred racehorse. Unraced as a two-year-old he showed steady improvement in 2016, winning two minor races and finishing second in the Queen's Vase before recording a 22/1 upset victory in the St Leger. In the following year he finished third in the Ascot Gold Cup but his racing career was ended by injury shortly afterwards. Background Harbour Law is a bay colt with a white star, bred by Anthony Oppenheimer's Hascombe and Valiant Studs. As a yearling in November 2014 the colt was offered for sale at Tattersalls but was not sold as he failed to reach his reserve price of £24,000.
