The president of the Regional Council of Veneto is the presiding officer of the Regional Council of Veneto. The office is established by the articles 10 and 11 of the Statute of Veneto. The president is elected by the absolute majority of the Regional Council in the first session of the new legislature and his term ends at the end of the legislature. The current president is Roberto Ciambetti of Liga Veneta– Lega. Enrico Cavaliere (Venice, 13 December 1958) is a Venetist politician. He is a member of Liga Veneta-Lega Nord. He joined Liga Veneta in 1991 and was provincial secretary for the Province of Venice from 1992 to 1994, when he was elected to the Italian Chamber of Deputies. Re-elected in 1996, he was Vice President of the parliamentary group of Lega Nord. Francesco Guidolin (; born 3 October 1955) is an Italian football manager and former player, most recently the manager of Premier League team Swansea City. The Regional Council of Veneto (''Consiglio Regionale del Veneto'') is the regional parliament of Veneto. The Council, which has its seat at Palazzo Ferro Fini, located along the Grand Canal in Venice. was first elected in 1970, when ordinary regions were established, twenty-two years after the Italian Constitution envisioned them in 1948.
