Premio Lo Nuestro 2000
The 12th Lo Nuestro Awards ceremony, presented by Univision to honor the best Latin music of 1999 and 2000, took place on May 5, 2000, at a live presentation held at the James L. Knight Center in Miami, Florida. The ceremony was broadcast in the United States and Latin America by Univision. During the ceremony, nineteen categories were presented. Winners were announced at the live event and included Mexican singer-songwriter Pepe Aguilar and Puerto-Rican American singers Elvis Crespo and Ricky Martin receiving three competitive awards each. Knight International Center
The James L. Knight Center is a contemporary entertainment and convention complex located in Downtown Miami, Florida. Located within the Miami Central Business District, the venue opened in 1982. The complex is named after famed newspaper publisher, James L. Knight. Since its opening, the complex has hosted many business, entertainment and political events. A clef (from French: 'key') is a musical symbol used to indicate which notes are represented by the lines and spaces on a musical staff.
