Premio Chiusura
The Premio Chiusura is a Listed flat horse race in Italy open to thoroughbreds aged two years or older. It is run at Milan over a distance of 1,400 metres (about 7 furlongs), and it is scheduled to take place each year in late October or early November. The event is traditionally held during Milan's last flat racing fixture of the year. The English translation of its title is ''Closing Prize''. The Premio Chiusura was given Group 2 status in the 1970s. It was relegated to Group 3 level in 1988 and downgraded to Listed status in 2017. Andrew Matthews Balding (born 29 December 1972) is a British racehorse trainer based at Park House Stables, Kingsclere, near Newbury, Berkshire. Balding attended Caldicott School, a boys' preparatory school, and Radley College, a public school. He became a licensed trainer in January 2003, when he succeeded his father Ian Balding. His elder sister is Clare Balding. Robert Hornby (born 28 May 1995) is a British jockey who competes in flat racing as a freelance, achieving notable victories for trainers Andrew Balding and Ralph Beckett. Heinz Jentzsch (13 March 192021 April 2012) was the most successful horse trainer in the history of German horse racing. Career During his active years from 1942 to 1999, Jentzsch recorded 4,029 victories. After World War II he came to Cologne to train for the 'Stallgemeinschaft Asterblüte', a group of major German owners of race-horses (Gestüte Schlenderhan, Fährhof, Bona, Charlottenhof, Ittlingen).
