Premio Azorín
The Premio Azorín de Novela (Azorín Prize for Best Novel) is one of the most important literary awards for works written in the Spanish language. It was originally created by Spain's Ministry of Information and Tourism in 1970. The modern form of the award was created in 1994, by the Spanish provincial government (diputación) of Alicante together with Editorial Planeta (Planeta Publishing House). The prize honors one of the finest Spanish writers of the so-called "Generation of 98", José Augusto Trinidad Martínez Ruíz (1873-1967), who used to sign his works under the pseudonym of Azorín. The prize is given annually to a non-published and original novel, whose author receives 68.000 € (some 93.000 dollars). As part of the prize, Planeta publishes the awarded novel. With the dictatorship of Primo de Rivera, two successive organizations were created; first the Bureau for Information and Press Censorship, during the Military Directory (1923), and the next one in the Civil Directory (1925) with the Cabinet for Information and Press Censorship. During the Second Republic, a Press Section was created in the General S ...

Pepa Roma
Performance Evaluation Process Algebra (PEPA) is a stochastic process algebra designed for modelling computer and communication systems introduced by Jane Hillston in the 1990s. The language extends classical process algebras such as Milner's CCS and Hoare's CSP by introducing probabilistic branching and timing of transitions. Rates are drawn from the exponential distribution and PEPA models are finite-state and so give rise to a stochastic process, specifically a continuous-time Markov process (CTMC). Thus the language can be used to study quantitative properties of models of computer and communication systems such as throughput, utilisation and response time as well as qualitative properties such as freedom from deadlock. The language is formally defined using a structured operational semantics in the style invented by Gordon Plotkin. As with most process algebras, PEPA is a parsimonious language. It has only four combinators, ''prefix'', ''choice'', ''co-operation'' an ...
