''Premer Somadhi'' is a 1996 Bengali-language Bangladeshi romantic drama film. The story, screenplay, and dialogues were written by Delwar Jahan Jhantu and directed by Iftekhar Jahan. It was produced by Ataur Rahman Tunu under the banner of Bashundhara Films. It stars Bapparaj, Shabnaz, and Amit Hasan in the lead roles. It was unofficially remade in Tollywood in 1997 as '' Bakul Priya.'' The film, which was released in theaters on July 26, 1996, deals with themes of love, separation, relationships, and social conflict. The film was a huge box office success that year. The film's choreography was directed by Aziz Reza and the fight direction was also by Arman Group. The cinematographer was Zakir Hossain. Bapparaj gained a special recognition among the audience through the songs of the film and his role as a failed lover in the love triangle of the film, a type of role that the actor also had in films such as ''Prem Geet'', ''Harano Prem'', ''Bhulona Amay'', ''Buk Bhora Bhalobasa'' ...

Iftekhar Jahan
Iftekhar Ahmed Sharif (22 February 1920 – 4 March 1995), often Mononymous people, mononymously credited as Iftekhar or Iftikhar, was an Indian actor who mainly worked in Hindi cinema. He is known for his film roles as a police officer. Career Iftekhar was born in Jalandhar and was the eldest among four brothers and a sister. After completing his matriculation, Iftekhar did a diploma course in painting from Lucknow College of Arts and Crafts, Lucknow College Of Arts. Iftekhar had a passion for singing and was impressed with the famous singer K. L. Saigal, Kundanlal Sehgal. In his 20s, Iftekhar travelled to Kolkata, Calcutta for an audition conducted by the music composer Kamal Dasgupta, who was then serving for Saregama, His Master's Voice. Dasgupta was so impressed by Iftekhar's personality that he recommended his name to M. P. Productions as an actor.
