Prema Shah
Girija Rajya Laxmi Shah (29 June 1945 – 20 December 2017), professionally known as Prema Shah, was a Nepalese poet, lecturer and short-story writer. She is considered one of the foremost Nepalese writer of the twentieth century. Early life and education She was born on 29 June 1945 (16 Ashadh 2002 BS) to father Purnendra Bikram Shah and mother Aruna Shah in Shreepur, Birgunj. On the fourteenth day of her birth, she was taken to her maternal home in Kathmandu, where she grew up. His maternal grandfather Bigyan Shumsher JBR was a General at that time. Prema Shah's childhood and childhood were spent under the care and upbringing of General Rana. She was also involved in the art of singing and dancing since childhood. Birgunj
Birgunj ( ne, वीरगञ्ज) is a metropolitan city in Parsa District in Madhesh Province of southern Nepal. It lies south of the capital Kathmandu, attached in the north to Raxaul in the border of the Indian state of Bihar. As an entry point to Nepal from Patna, Birgunj is known as the "Gateway of Nepal". It is also called "Commercial capital of Nepal". The town has significant economic importance for Nepal as most of the trade with India is via Birgunj and the Indian town of Raxaul. Bishnu Kumari Waiba, popularly known as Parijat ( ne, पारिजात) was a Nepalese writer and poet. She is best known for her novel '' Shiris Ko Phool'' for which she won the Madan Puraskar, becoming the first woman to receive the award. She published multiple novels and wrote many poems and stories in her lifetime. Early life and education Vishnu Kumari Waiba,Parijat was born in 1937(Nepali 1990 BS ) in the hill station of Darjeeling, India, a place known for its tea gardens. Her mother, Amrita Moktan, died when Parijat was very young, and she was raised by her father and her grandparents. Her father, Dr. K.N. Waiba, was a physician. The birthplace of Parijat, Darjeeling, is a major centre of Nepali language, culture and literature. Darjeeling is inhabited by Nepali people who also speak the same language and have a similar culture as that of Nepalese people.
