Bimal Roy (12 July 1909 – 7 January 1966) was an Indian film director. He is particularly noted for his realistic and socialistic films such as , '' Parineeta'', ''Biraj Bahu'', '' Devdas'', '' Madhumati'', '' Sujata'', '' Parakh'' and '' Bandini'', making him an important director of Hindi cinema. Inspired by Italian neo-realistic cinema, he made after watching Vittorio De Sica's'' Bicycle Thieves'' (1948). His work is particularly known for his mise en scène which he employed to portray realism. He won a number of awards throughout his career, including eleven Filmfare Awards, two National Film Awards, and the International Prize of the Cannes Film Festival. Seema Deo (27 March 1942 – 24 August 2023) was an Indian Hindi and Marathi film actress. She appeared in over 80 Marathi and Hindi films. She won Maharashtra State Film Award for Best Actress for the film Pahu re kiti vaat. Biography Seema Deo was born and brought up in Girgaum, Mumbai. She was married to actor Ramesh Deo. They had two sons, actor Ajinkya Deo and director Abhinay Deo. She suffered from Alzheimer's disease in the last years of her life. Seema Deo died on 24 August 2023, at the age of 81. Salil Chowdhury (19 November 1925 – 5 September 1995) was an Indian music director, songwriter, lyricist, writer and poet who predominantly composed for Bengali, Hindi and Malayalam films. He composed music for films in 13 languages. This includes over 75 Hindi films, 41 Bengali films, 27 Malayalam films, and a few Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Gujarati, Odia and Assamese films.
