Prem Kumar is an Indian actor known for his roles in Malayalam films. He has acted more than 100 films, and played lead roles in 18 films. In 2022 he was appointed as vice-chairman of Kerala State Chalachitra Academy. Personal life and education Prem Kumar was born to James Samuel and Jayakumari in Kazhakoottam, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. Ajith Kumar and Prasanna Kumar are his siblings. He received his primary education from Kazhakoottam Govt U.P School, Muslim Boys High School, Kaniyapuram and St. Xavier's College, Thumba. He obtained a degree in Psychology from Sree Narayana College, Chempazhanthy. He married Jisha on 12 July 2001. They have a daughter named Jameema. Prem Kumar (Tamil Actor)
Prem Kumar is an Indian actor who appears in Tamil films. He rose to fame starring in television serials, and was also the winner of season 1 of the reality dance show '' Jodi Number One''. In the Nadigar Sangam elections held on 18 October 2015, he was elected as an executive committee member. He is the grandson of Shanmugha Rajeswara Sethupathi, the Raja of Ramnad. Career Prem made his acting debut starring in a television serial produced by K. Balachander and directed by Samuthirakani called ''Anni''. He was recommended by Dr. M. Karunanidhi, who had seen him perform in the TV serial ''Annamalai'', to feature in the film version of Karunanidhi's novel ''Kannamma''. The film released in 2005 to average reviews. Prem Kumar (17 November 1951 – 21 February 2011), better known as Swami Premananda, a Sri-Lankan born Indian religious guru and monk who founded the Premananda ashram. He was convicted of multiple counts of rape and a murder in 1997. Life and work Originally a Tamil from Sri Lanka, Kumar had an ashram and orphanage in his birthplace Matale. During his years in Matale, Sri Lanka he was popularly known as 'Ravi', meaning 'sun', as he had a radiant face. He moved to India with his followers in 1983 to escape the Sri Lankan Civil War, bringing with him undocumented Sri Lankan orphans who had been in his care. He initially opened an ashram in a rented building in Tiruchirappalli, then moved to Fatimanagar Fatimanagar is a neighbourhood in Pune.
