Praxitelis Vouros
Praxitelis Vouros (; born 5 May 1995) is a Greek professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Cypriot First Division club Apollon Limassol. Club career On 29 August 2017, Cypriot champions APOEL signed Greek defender on a 3-year contract for an undisclosed fee. With the acquisition of Praxitelis Vouros, APOEL keeps the Greek element in his roster and bets on the skills of the 22-year-old footballer. APOEL coach Georgios Donis immediately asked the acquisition of the young defender as he solved his contract with Greek champions Olympiacos. The 22-year old defender had been a member of Greek champions Olympiacos for the past four seasons, having only four substitute appearances in those years for the Greek championship. On 25 July 2018, he renewed his contract to the summer of 2022 with APOEL. On 1 August 2020, Vouros joined OFI on a three-year contract. Mytilene (; ) is the capital city, capital of the Greece, Greek island of Lesbos, and its port. The draw for the fixtures was announced on 17 July 2023. AEK Athens were the defending champions. The 2020–21 Super League Greece was the 85th season of the Super League Greece, the top Greek professional league for association football clubs, since its establishment in 1959. Olympiacos were the defending champions. Teams Fourteen teams competed in the league – the top twelve teams from the previous season, the play-off winner and one team promoted from the Super League 2. The promoted team was PAS Giannina, who returned to the first tier after a one-season absence. They replaced Panionios who were relegated after 23 seasons in the top flight. The 2019–20 Cypriot First Division was the 81st season of the Cypriot top-level football league. On 15 May 2020, the rest of the season was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The title was withheld, and no teams were relegated, with the league expanded to 14 teams next season for a transitional year. Cypriot Super Cup
The Cypriot Super Cup is a Cypriot football trophy, contested in an annual match between the previous season's Cypriot First Division champions, and the Cypriot Cup winners. The match is contested at the beginning of the football season, and is usually played at the GSP Stadium in Nicosia. The most successful team in the competition are Omonia, who have won the trophy on 17 occasions. The current holders are APOEL Nicosia who defeated Pafos FC 1–0 in the 2024 match. History The first match was played in 1951, under the name Pakkos Shield ( Greek: Ασπίδα Πάκκου). At the time, the trophy was not awarded to the winner of the match, but would instead be awarded to the overall most successful team in the competition, after 10 matches.
