Prawet
Prawet ( th, ประเวศ, ) is one of the 50 districts of Bangkok, Thailand. It is in the southeast. Neighboring districts are (from the east clockwise) Bang Phli ( Samut Prakan province), Bang Na, Phra Khanong, Suan Luang, Bang Kapi, Saphan Sung and Lat Krabang (Bangkok). History Prawet was once part of Phra Khanong District. Prawet was elevated to become a separate district in 1989. Part of Prawet, especially the Suan Luang Sub-district, was carved out to establish Suan Luang District on 14 January 1994. Its name after Khlong Prawet Burirom, a canal that flows through the northern area. In October 2005 the plan to create the special administrative area Nakhon Suvarnabhumi around the new Bangkok airport became public. Khlong Prawet Burirom

After the khlong construction bill was promulgated in 1877, King Chulalongkorn (Rama V) ordered the extension of Khlong Phra Khanong to join Khlong Dan and link to the Bang Pakong River of Chachoengsao Province. The khlong was called ''Khlong Prawet Buri Rom''. Excavations took three years to complete. The man-made khlong not only enabled water transportation between Nakhon Khuean Khan (present day Samut Prakan Province) and Chachoengsao, but it opened up new croplands along its banks. Khwaeng
A ''khwaeng'' (, ) is an administrative subdivision used in the fifty districts of Bangkok and a few other city municipalities in Thailand. Currently, there are 180 ''khwaeng'' in Bangkok. A ''khwaeng'' is roughly equivalent to a ''tambon'' in other provinces of Thailand, smaller than an ''amphoe'' (district). Seacon Square is a large indoor shopping mall in Prawet, Bangkok. It was opened in 1994 in a ceremony presided over by Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. Paradise Park or formerly known as Seri Center is a shopping mall located in Prawet, Bangkok, Thailand. The retail giants Siam Piwat and MBK made a new joint-venture for new opportunities in the suburbs of Bangkok their Paradise Park Srinagarindra transformed Seri Center at a total cost of Bt3.2 billion. The mall opened officially on August 24, 2010 . It has been a rival to a nearby mall, Seacon Square. Of the visitors to Paradise Park, about 70 per cent are people who live within a 3-kilometre radius, while the rest come from other areas of Bangkok as well as upcountry. Lat Krabang District
Lat Krabang ( th, ลาดกระบัง, ) is one of the eastern districts of Bangkok. Geography & history Lat Krabang (literally translating to "slope of shield") is a second largest district of Bangkok (the first one is neighbouring district Nong Chok). Neighbouring districts are (from the south clockwise): Bang Bo, Bang Sao Thong and Bang Phli ( Samut Prakan province); Prawet, Saphan Sung, Min Buri and Nong Chok (Bangkok) and Mueang Chachoengsao (Chachoengsao province). Nong Bon Water Sports Center
Nong Bon Water Sports Center ( th, ศูนย์กีฬาทางน้ำบึงหนองบอน) is a largest public park in Bangkok with an area of 644 rai (254 acres), it is considered larger than the adjacent well-known Suan Luang Rama IX. Bueng Nong Bon (Nong Bon Lake) is an artificial lake to support the amount of water runoff from the east to prevent flooding during the flood season (around October). It is one of the royal projects initiated by King Rama IX. The beautiful area of the reservoir has been developed into a public park and water sports center of Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA), open to the general public. Bang Na ( th, บางนา, ) is one of the fifty districts (''khet'') of Bangkok, Thailand. Its neighbors, clockwise from the north, are the Phra Khanong and Prawet Districts of Bangkok and Bang Phli, Mueang Samut Prakan, and Phra Pradaeng Districts of Samut Prakan province. Bang Kapi ( th, บางกะปิ, ) is one of the 50 districts (''khet'') of Bangkok, Thailand. It is bounded by other Bangkok districts (from north clockwise): Bueng Kum, Saphan Sung, Prawet, Suan Luang, Huai Khwang, Wang Thonglang, and Lat Phrao. Name The name Bang Kapi consists of two parts. ''Bang'' is a common prefix for place names in Thailand and roughly means a "hamlet by the waterfront". There are multiple theories as to the origin of ''kapi''.
