Prawit Wongsuwon
Prawit Wongsuwon (, , ; born 11 August 1945) is a Thai politician and retired army officer who served as the First Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand, deputy prime minister from 2014 to 2023, Ministry of Defence (Thailand), Minister of Defence from 2008 to 2011 during the government of Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva and from 2014 to 2019 in the first government of Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha. He also previously served as the deputy chairman of the National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO), a military junta which ruled Thailand from 2014 to 2019. Pravit Rojanaphruk (; ) (born 1967) is a Thai journalist who works as a senior staff writer for ' ('fresh news'). He formerly wrote a regular column for ''The Nation'', an English-language newspaper in Thailand, but was pressured to resign due to his political opinions following the 2014 coup d'état. Before the military coup, he was a prominent champion of democracy and free expression and was consequently investigated several times. Immediately after the coup, he was arrested on a charge of lèse majesté and detained for a week. Since the coup, he has been critical of the ruling junta and its efforts to limit freedom. Pravit has been detained for "attitude adjustment" twice by the ruling junta and as of 2017, has sedition charges against him for Facebook posts he made earlier that year. Yodwanpadet Suwanwichit (), born Pravit Suwanwichit (, 19 November 1961), is a Thai Muay Thai fighter and promoter, amateur boxer and Royal Thai Air Force group captain. He is a former Rajadamnern and Lumpinee champion, known by the ring names Wanpadet Sitkhrumai () and Wanpadet Phukrongfah (), among others.
