''Pranayakalam'' (English: ''Season of Love'') is a 2007 Indian Malayalam romantic film directed by débutant Uday Ananthan and starring Ajmal Ameer and Vimala Raman. Cast Music The music for the film was composed by Ouseppachan. The lyrics were written by Rafeeq Ahamed, who won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Lyricist for his work in the film. Rafeeq Ahamed (born 17 December 1961) is an Indian poet, lyricist and novelist. He has won the Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award for Poetry and is a six-time winner of the Kerala State Film Award for Best Lyrics. With more than 600 songs to his credit, Rafeeq Ahamed is regarded as the most successful and critically acclaimed lyricist of contemporary Malayalam films. The Kerala State Film Award for Best Lyricist is an honour, begun in 1969, presented annually at the Kerala State Film Awards of India to a lyricist for best lyrics in a Malayalam cinema, Malayalam film. Until 1997, the awards were managed directly by the Department of Information and Public Relations (Kerala), Department of Information and Public Relations of the Government of Kerala.
