Pranab Prakash Das
Pranab Prakash Das is an Indian politician from Odisha. He was a three time elected Odisha Legislative Assembly, Member of the Odisha Legislative Assembly from 2009 Odisha Legislative Assembly election, 2009, 2014 Odisha Legislative Assembly election, 2014, and 2019 Odisha Legislative Assembly election, 2019, representing Jajpur Assembly constituency as a Member of the Biju Janata Dal. He is son of Ashok Kumar Das former MLA from Korei Assembly constituency. Personal life Das was born on 4 May 1972 in a wealthy Karan (caste), Zamindar Karan family to Ashok Kumar Das and SandhyaRani Das. His father Ashok Das was close aide of Biju Patnaik & also former leader of opposition during Janaki Ballabh Patnaik, Janaki Ballabh Patnaik's government. Das's younger sister married to Arindam Roy, Arindam Ray, an actor turned politician and one of the highest paid actor in Ollywood industry. The Odisha Legislative Assembly is the unicameral state legislature of Odisha state in India. The seat of the Legislative Assembly is at Bhubaneswar, the capital of the state. The Legislative Assembly comprises List of constituencies of Odisha Vidhan Sabha, 147 Member of the Legislative Assembly (India), Members of Legislative Assembly. Out of total 147 Assembly Constituencies of Odisha Legislative Assembly, 33 seats are reserved for Scheduled Tribes (ST) and 24 seats for the Scheduled Castes (SC). It was announced by Odisha's Former Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik that the Sachivalaya or the Secretariat building in Bhubaneswar will be called ''Lok Seva Bhavan''.
