Pran Nath Lekhi
Pran Nath Lekhi (प्राण नाथ लेखी; 1924/25 – 28 February 2010) was an Indian Lawyer. He was one of India's leading lawyers, who primarily practiced at the Supreme Court of India and the High Court of Delhi. Lekhi was a well-known practitioner of constitutional laws and is famous for various Public Interest Litigations. Early life Pran Nath Lekhi was a topper in the Civil Service Examination, but fed up with the malfunctioning of the system he quit the civil servant's job and took up the study of law. Here too, he emerged as a winner and was a gold medallist. Lekhi participated in the Quit India Movement and was imprisoned many times. As Secretary of the Students Congress and organiser of 'Free INA Prisoners' movement, he was arrested and imprisoned in 1945 and 1946. Soli Sorabjee
Soli Jehangir Sorabjee, AM (9 March 193030 April 2021) was an Indian jurist who served as Attorney-General for India from 1989 to 1990, and again from 1998 to 2004. In 2002, he received the Padma Vibhushan for his defence of the freedom of expression and the protection of human rights. Early life Soli Jehangir Sorabjee was born on 9 March 1930 in Bombay to a Parsi family. He studied at Bharda New High School, Mumbai and St. Xavier's College, Mumbai and Government Law College, Mumbai, and was admitted to the bar in 1953. Meenakshi Lekhi (born 30 April 1967) is an Indian politician who served as the Minister of State for External Affairs and Culture of India from 7 July 2021 till 10 June 2024. Vijaya Raje Scindia
Vijaya Raje Scindia (born Lekha Divyeshwari Devi; 12 October 1919 – 25 January 2001), known popularly as the Rajmata Scindia, was an Indian politician and consort of the last ruling Maharaja of Gwalior, Jiwajirao Scindia, in British Raj. In later life, she was elected repeatedly to both houses of the Indian parliament. She was one of the founding members of the Bharatiya Janata Party. The Attorney General for India is the chief legal advisor of the Government of India. The Attorney General is appointed by the President of India at the instance of the Union Cabinet under Article 76(1) of the Constitution and hold office during the pleasure of the President. Ram Jethmalani
Ram Boolchand Jethmalani (14 September 1923 – 8 September 2019) was an Indian lawyer and politician. He served as India's Union Minister of Law and Justice, as chairman of the Indian Bar Council, and as the president of the Supreme Court Bar Association. Jethmalani obtained his LL.B. degree at the age of 17 and started practising law in his hometown, Shikarpur, until the partition of India. The partition led him to move to Mumbai as a refugee where he began his life and career afresh. He announced his retirement from judicial profession in 2017.
