PragerU
The Prager University Foundation, known as PragerU, is an American 501(c)(3) nonprofit advocacy group and media organization that creates content promoting conservative and capitalist viewpoints on various political, economic, and sociological topics. It was co-founded in 2009 by screenwriter Allen Estrin and talk show host Dennis Prager. Despite the name including the word "university", it is not an academic institution and does not confer degrees. PragerU's videos contain misleading or factually incorrect information promoting creationism, climate change denial, slavery and racism in the United States, immigration, and the history of fascism. PragerU has also been accused of promoting fascism, racism, sexism and anti-LGBT politics. Dennis Mark Prager (; born August 2, 1948) is an American conservative radio talk show host and writer. He is the host of the nationally syndicated radio talk show ''The Dennis Prager Show''. In 2009, he co-founded PragerU, which primarily creates five-minute videos from an American conservative perspective, among other content. His initial political work starting in 1969 concerned Refuseniks, the Soviet Jews who were unable to emigrate. He gradually began offering more and broader commentary on politics. Early life and education Dennis Prager was born in Brooklyn to Hilda (; 1919–2009) and Max Prager (1918–2014), the latter the son of Polish Jewish immigrants. Allen Estrin (born June 20, 1954) is an American screenwriter, producer, director, and author. He is known for screenwriting with his late brother Mark Estrin, co-writing a novel with Joseph Telushkin, and his current work with Dennis Prager. With Prager he co-founded PragerU and serves as the executive producer of the '' Dennis Prager Show''. Career Estrin co-founded the digital media website PragerU, short for "Prager University", with Dennis Prager and is currently the executive producer of The Dennis Prager Show. When Estrin originally conceptualized PragerU, he had planned for it to be a brick-and-mortar university, but later proposed instead creating short educational videos online.
