Praedinius Gymnasium
Praedinius Gymnasium is a gymnasium in Groningen, the Netherlands. It dates back to the fourteenth century and is the larger of two non- comprehensive gymnasia in Groningen, the other being Willem Lodewijk Gymnasium. History Fourteenth century records show that an early predecessor of the Praedinius Gymnasium, the Schole tho Sunte Meerten, was situated at the current location of the Provinciehuis (Province Hall). Gradually, the school grew and attracted students from the Netherlands and abroad, and the name was changed to Latijnse school (Latin school). In 1595, when Ubbo Emmius was rector, the school moved to the old Minderbroederklooster. Later, in 1847, the Latijnse school became a gymnasium, and the name was changed to Stedelijk Gymnasium. Naomi Ellemers (born 31 January 1963 in Amsterdam) is a distinguished professor of social psychology at Utrecht University since September 2015, and a member of the European Commission's Group of Chief Scientific Advisors. In 2023, she was elected to the American Philosophical Society. Career Ellemers studied social psychology at Rijksuniversiteit Groningen from 1981 to1987 and graduated in 1991 in Groningen with her thesis ''Identity management strategies,'' followed by a position as assistant professor and later as associate professor at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Noisia was a Dutch electronic music trio from Groningen, Netherlands. The trio was composed of Nik Roos, Martijn van Sonderen, and Thijs de Vlieger. Their music spanned several genres, including drum and bass, dubstep, breakbeat, and house. They released music on labels such as Skrillex's Owsla, deadmau5's mau5trap, and Jay-Z's Roc Nation. Nico Rost
Christa Päffgen (; 16 October 1938 – 18 July 1988), known by her stage name Nico, was a German singer, songwriter, actress, and model. Nico had roles in several films, including Federico Fellini's ''La Dolce Vita'' (1960) and Andy Warhol's ''Chelsea Girls'' (1966). At the insistence of Warhol, she sang lead on three songs of the Velvet Underground's debut album ''The Velvet Underground & Nico'' (1967).
