Pradhan (film)
''Pradhan'' is a 2023 Indian Bengali-language socio-political action drama film co-written and directed by Avijit Sen.Produced by Dev, Atanu Raychaudhuri and Pranab Kumar Guha under the banners of Dev Entertainment Ventures and Bengal Talkies respectively, the film stars Dev, Anirban Chakrabarti, Paran Bandyopadhyay, Soham Chakraborty and Soumitrisha Kundu in the lead roles. The action sequences in this film are designed by Aejaz Gulab. This film marks the third collaboration between Sen and Dev after the blockbusters Tonic and Projapoti. The film marked the big - screen debut of Mithai fame Soumitrisha Kundu. It was released on 22 December 2023, on the occasion of Christmas weekend. It became a blockbuster at the box office running for 125 days in the cinema halls, thus making it the third consecutive box-office success for Dev and Avijit Sen duo, eventually becoming the second highest grossing Bengali film of 2023. Deepak Adhikari (born 25 December 1982), known by his stage name Dev, is an Indian actor, producer, singer and film writer, known for his works in Tollywood, and more recently, a politician. He owns the production house Dev Entertainment Ventures Pvt. Ltd. Born in Keshpur, he made his acting debut in the 2006 film ''Agnishapath'' opposite Rachna Banerjee. Dev faced flak after the film was released, and it turned out to be a critical and commercial flop. His starring role in ''I Love You'' opposite Payal Sarkar was his breakthrough. Directed by Ravi Kinnagi, the film was critically unsuccessful, but was commercially successful and was quick to resurrect his career. ''Mithai'' ( Sweet) is a 2021 Indian Bengali romantic comedy drama television series that premiered on 4 January 2021 on Zee Bangla. Sujan Mukherjee (also known as Neel Mukherjee) is an Indian actor who works in Bengali language films, television and theatre. In 2012 he made his directorial debut with the film ''Ghete Gho''. He is an active Member of the renowned Theatre Group Chetana. Sohini Sengupta is an Indian film and theatre actress. Daughter of actor Rudraprasad Sengupta and Swatilekha Sengupta, who are also active in theatre, Sohini is one of the leading actors of the Bengali theatre group Nandikar.
