Pozzuolo Martesana ( or ''Pozzoeul'' ) is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the Metropolitan City of Milan in the Italian region Lombardy, located about east of Milan. It has a population of around 7,000 inhabitants. The town is notable for hosting a production facility of the multinational company Ferrero. The factory was established in Pozzuolo Martesana due to the historical presence of abundant underground sources of pure water. Gorgonzola ( ) is a town in the Metropolitan City of Milan, Lombardy, northern Italy. It is part of the territory of the Martesana, north-east of Milan. Gorgonzola cheese is named after the town. History The first written records mentioning the village of Gorgonzola date back to the 10th century: the notary clerk of the convent of Saint Ambrose in Milan was the caretaker of the church of Saints Gervasio and Protasio in "Gorgontiola". Inzago ( or ) is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the Metropolitan City of Milan in the Italy, Italian region of Lombardy, located about northeast of Milan. Inzago borders the following municipalities: Pozzo d'Adda, Masate, Gessate, Cassano d'Adda, Bellinzago Lombardo, Pozzuolo Martesana.
