Povl Winning Toussieng
Povl Winning Toussieng (15 June 1892 – 11 January 1967) was a Danish doctor, author and resistance fighter. Background and education Povl Winning Toussieng was son of colonel Heinrich Elfred Theodor Toussieng (1845–1908) and Regina Frederikke Winning (1859–1938). Povl Winning Toussieng attended Rungsted Boarding School in Rungsted, Denmark. He went on to study medicine at the University of Copenhagen. After having graduated in 1917, he became a general practitioner (GP) in Nysted, Denmark. Toussieng married Ingeborg Marie Amalie Hansen, and they had two children: Povl Winning Toussieng Junior (5 September 1918 – 17 November 1997) who became a child psychiatrist in Oklahoma City and Agnete Toussieng (25 June 1921 – 31 May 2006). Stationing in the Dutch East Indies Toussieng met Queen Juliana of the Netherlands at the Dutch embassy in Copenhagen, and she encouraged him to go to the Dutch East Indies. Povl Christian Stegmann (1888–1944) was a Danish architect remembered for designing Aarhus University in collaboration with Kay Fisker and C. F. Møller. His name is included in the Danish Culture Canon. Early life Born in Aarhus, Stegmann apprenticed as a mason before attending Aarhus Technical School where he matriculated in 1908. He went on to study architecture at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts under Anton Rosen and Hack Kampmann from 1909 to 1919. Povl Heinrich Riis-Knudsen is a Danish neo-Nazi, prominent in the US as well as Denmark. Riis-Knudsen is known as the author of the articles ''National Socialism: A Left Wing Movement'' (1984) and ''National Socialism: The Biological World View'' (1987), as well as for having been involved with Matt Koehl of the American Nazi Party. Life and ideas Riis-Knudsen first came to prominence when Matt Koehl took charge of the World Union of National Socialists (WUNS) and sought out Riis-Knudsen, already a leading neo-Nazi in Denmark, as his European contact. Povl Kjøller Nielsen (June 3, 1937 – September 11, 1999) was a Danish composer, guitarist, teacher, pedagogue and tv host. Povl Kjøller is known for the songs ''Min Cykel'' (''My bike'') (also called ''Cykelsangen'' (''The Bicycle Song'')) and ''Bakke snagvendt'' (''Talk in reverse''). Many of his songs were a part of the program ''Legestue'' (''playroom'') together with the puppet duo ''Kaj og Andrea'', which he co-hosted with Kjeld Nørgaard from 1971 to 1975.
