Postal Highway (NH05) (previously: H17) () runs across the Terai region of Nepal, from Bhadrapur, Jhapa in the east to Dodhara, Kanchanpur in the west, cutting across the entire width of the country. Bhadrapur, Mechi
Bhadrapur, or Chandragadhi (), is a town and List of cities in Nepal, municipality in Jhapa District in the Koshi Pradesh of southeastern Nepal. It lies on the banks of the Mechi River and shares borders with Bihar on the south and West Bengal on the north. There is a border crossing with a customs office for goods. Highways In Nepal
Nepal is a landlocked country where transportation is difficult due to the mountainous terrain. Modern transportation in Nepal has only started in the 20th century. Railways were the first type of transport introduced in Nepal by the Nepal Railway Company. The first railway line began in 1927 with the length of between Amlekhganj and Raxaul (India). The Government of Nepal has also established many organisations and offices to construct and maintain the roads inside and outside the Kathmandu Valley. The first highway, the Tribhuvan Highway was constructed in November 1952 between Kathmandu and Amlekhganj. Padma Shumsher Jung Bahadur Rana
Maharaja Sir Padma Shumsher Jung Bahadur Rana (; 5 December 1882 – Calcutta, India, 11 April 1961) was the hereditary prime minister of Nepal and Maharaja of Lamjung and Kaski from 29 November 1945 to 30 April 1948 as the head of the Rana dynasty. He was one of the first prime ministers of Nepal in over a century to advocate for social development, and even proclaimed himself to be "A servant of the nation".
