PostNord-ligaen
The Norwegian Second Division, also called 2. divisjon and often referred to as PostNord-ligaen for sponsorship reasons, is the third-highest level of the Norwegian football league system. There are 28 teams divided into two groups, and at the end of the season the winner of each group earns promotion to the second-highest division, 1. divisjon. The teams finishing in second place in their respective group will qualify for the promotion play-offs, where they will face each other. The winner will play against the 14th placed team in 1. divisjon for promotion. The bottom three teams in each group are relegated to 3. divisjon. 2. divisjon is the highest league a reserve team can participate in, and only reserve teams from the Eliteserien clubs (first tier) are allowed to enter. The Norwegian football league system, or pyramid, is a series of interconnected leagues for club football in Norway. 2017 system in men's football , the current national league system administered by the NFF is organised as 1–1–2–6, where Eliteserien is the highest level and the First Division the second tier, followed by two groups in the third tier ( Second Division) and 6 regional groups in the fourth tier ( Third Division). 2025 Norwegian Second Division
The 2025 Norwegian Second Division (referred to as PostNord-ligaen for sponsorship reasons) is an ongoing Norwegian football third-tier league season. The league consists of 28 teams divided into two groups of 14 teams. The league will be played as a double round-robin tournament, where all teams play 26 matches. The season started on 29 March 2025 and will end on 25 October 2025, not including play-off matches. Team changes In the 2024 Norwegian Second Division, Hødd and Skeid were promoted to the 2025 Norwegian First Division, while Gjøvik-Lyn, Junkeren, Kvik Halden, Vålerenga 2, Viking 2 and Ørn Horten were relegated to the 2025 Norwegian Third Division. Norwegian First Division
The Norwegian First Division, also called 1. divisjon () and OBOS-ligaen (due to sponsoring ties with :no:OBOS, OBOS), is the second-highest level of the Norwegian football league system. Each year, the top finishing teams in the 1. divisjon are promoted to the Eliteserien, and the lowest finishing teams are relegated to 2. divisjon. 1. divisjon was previously known as 2. divisjon (1963–1990) and replaced regional league Landsdelsserien (1951–1962) after the latter was dissolved after the 1961–62 Landsdelsserien, 1961–62 season. The Norwegian Football Cup () is the main knockout cup competition in Norwegian football. It is run by the Football Association of Norway and has been contested since 1902, making it the oldest football tournament in the country. Fotballklubben Jerv is a Norwegian Association football, football club from Grimstad. ''Jerv'' is the Norwegian name for wolverine. They currently play in the Norwegian Second Division, 2. divisjon, the third tier of Norwegian football. History The club was founded in 1921, as Vestergatens FK, named after the street in which the foundation took place, but later changed name to Djerv and then Jerv. In the 1970s and 1980s the team had a number of foreign coaches, including Bo Johansson who managed the team in 1984 and 1985 and went on to coach several clubs and national teams.
