Didelphimorphia
Opossums () are members of the marsupial order Didelphimorphia () endemic to the Americas. The largest order of marsupials in the Western Hemisphere, it comprises 126 species in 18 genera. Opossums originated in South America and entered North America in the Great American Interchange following the connection of North and South America in the late Cenozoic. The Virginia opossum is the only species found in the United States and Canada. It is often simply referred to as an opossum; in North America, it is commonly referred to as a possum (; sometimes rendered as ''possum'' in written form to indicate the dropped "o"). The Australasian arboreal marsupials of suborder Phalangeriformes are also called possums because of their resemblance to opossums, but they belong to a different order. Clifford Possum Tjapaltjarri AO (1932 – 21 June 2002) was an Australian painter, considered to be one of the most collected and renowned Australian Aboriginal artists. His paintings are held in galleries and collections in Australia and elsewhere, including the Art Gallery of New South Wales, the National Gallery of Australia, the Kelton Foundation and the Royal Collection. Life and painting Possum's father was Tjatjiti Tjungurrayai and his mother was Long Rose Nangala. After his father's death in the 1940s his mother married Gwoya Jungarai, better known as ''One Pound Jimmy'', whose image was used on a well known Australian postage stamp. ''Universal Themes'' is the seventh studio album by American indie folk act Sun Kil Moon, released on June 2, 2015, on Caldo Verde Records. Juned
Juned was an all female Seattle band which formed in 1993. It comprised Dale Balenseifen and Claudia Groom on guitars and vocals, Leslie Hardy on bass and Lenny Rennalls on drums. Nalini Cheriel ( Adickdid) was also a member at one point. They were signed up by Up Records and released "So White" (a 7" single) and the album "Juned" in 1994, the single "Possum" in 1995 and the CD "Every Night For You" in 1996. The Man Who Stepped Into Yesterday
''The Man Who Stepped into Yesterday'' (often abbreviated as TMWSIY) is a 1988 concept album written by Trey Anastasio, the guitarist and lead vocalist of the American rock band Phish, as his senior thesis while attending Goddard College. Completed in July 1988, the thesis included an essay piece and collection of songs (recorded by Phish) relating an epic tale from the band's fictional land of Gamehendge. Background and concept On the album, the story of Gamehendge is told in nine parts, with short spoken narration in between. The saga can be compared to rock concept album projects like The Doors' '' Celebration of the Lizard'' or Rush's '' 2112'' suite. The story's primary protagonist is Colonel Forbin. "The Possum" is the 18th episode of the second season of the American comedy television series '' Parks and Recreation'', and the 24th overall episode of the series. It originally aired on NBC in the United States on March 11, 2010. In the episode, Leslie forms a task force to capture an opossum that bit the mayor's dog, but she begins to fear she has caught the wrong animal. The episode was written by Mike Scully and directed by Tristram Shapeero. "The Possum" featured a guest appearance by Alison Becker, who reprised her previous guest role as reporter Shauna Malwae-Tweep. It centres on a disgraced children's puppeteer who returns to his childhood home and is forced to confront trauma he suffered there. George Bostic "Possum" Whitted (February 4, 1890 – October 16, 1962) was an American professional baseball outfielder and third baseman. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) from 1912 to 1922 for the St. Louis Cardinals, Boston Braves, Philadelphia Phillies, Pittsburgh Pirates, and Brooklyn Robins.
