Porto Open
The Porto Open is a professional tennis tournament played on outdoor hardcourts. It is currently part of the ATP Challenger Tour and the ITF Women's World Tennis Tour, and has been held annually at the Complexo Ténis Monte Aventino in Porto, Portugal, since 1999 for women and since 2007 for men. Between 2001 and 2002, the tournament was classed as a Tier IV event on the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) Tour. It was held for two years (2001–2002), and had a total prize fund of $140,000 in each year. The most notable player to win the singles was three-time French Open champion Arantxa Sánchez Vicario, who won the 2001 event. The tournament was played on clay courts up until the 2019 edition, when it changed to hardcourts. WTA Tier IV Tournaments
The WTA Tier IV tournaments were Women's Tennis Association fourth-level tournaments held from 1990 until the end of the 2008 season. The line-up of events varied over the years, with tournaments being promoted, demoted or cancelled. Some of the tournaments became Tier V events between 1990 and 1992, and later from 2001 to 2005, before being integrated back into Tier IV. Appollonia Melzani
Apollonia () in Cyrenaica (modern Libya) was founded by Greek colonists and became a significant commercial centre in the southern Mediterranean. It served as the harbour of Cyrene, to the southwest. Sybille Bammer (born 27 April 1980) is a former professional tennis player from Austria. Her career-high ranking is No. 19, which she achieved on 17 December 2007. She was one of three mothers on the WTA Tour, having taken time off at age 21 to have her daughter Tina before returning to the tour.
