Portland Wolfpack
The Portland Wolfpack were a team in the now-defunct International Fight League and based in Portland, Oregon. The Wolfpack were coached by Olympic silver medalist in Greco Roman Wrestling, Matt Lindland. The Wolfpack were established in the middle of the 2006 season. In their debut season the Wolfpack made it to the 2006 IFL Championship Final but were defeated by the Quad City Silverbacks 1-4. The Wolfpack were associated with the MMA training camp Team Quest based out of Gresham, Oregon. Even though the Wolfpack sent only two fighters into the 2007 GP (one being a last minute replacement) they walked away with two championship titles; the lightweight title and the middleweight title. Along with Lindland, the Wolfpack were also coached by former IFL fighter Dennis Hallman, the first man to defeat UFC legend Matt Hughes twice. Jacob Steven "Jake" Ellenberger (born March 28, 1985) is an American retired mixed martial arts, mixed martial artist and former United States Marine Corps, United States Marine who was known for competing in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). A professional competitor from 2005–2018, Ellenberger has also formerly competed for the Quad Cities Silverbacks of the International Fight League, IFL, Bodog Fight, and King of the Cage. Quad City Silverbacks
The Quad Cities Silverbacks was an International Fight League team based in the Quad Cities region of the United States. Coached by former UFC Welterweight Champion and founder of the very successful Miletich Fighting Systems camp, Pat Miletich, the Silverbacks were one of four teams competing in the IFL's inaugural season. The Silverbacks are two time IFL World Team Champions. In the 2007 season the Silverbacks suffered their first lost (to the LA Anacondas) and had to struggle to get the final spot in the 2007 playoffs. After defeating the Anacondas in the semi-finals the Silverbacks were defeated by the New York Pitbulls in the 2007 finals. The Los Angeles Anacondas were an International Fight League team based in Los Angeles, California. The Anacondas were the first IFL team to have gone through not just one coach but two. Originally coached by three time King of Pancrase and former UFC Heavyweight Champion Bas Rutten, and then coached by Canadian MMA practitioner Shawn Tompkins, the Anacondas are now without a coach entering the offseason. The Anacondas were one of four teams competing in the IFL's inaugural season. As of March 2007, the Anacondas were the only IFL team to hold two perfect sweeps (5 wins and no losses) over opposing teams (the Tokyo Sabres on September 9, 2006 and the San Jose Razorclaws on March 17, 2007). Devin Cole
Devin Cole (born October 1, 1976) is an American mixed martial artist. He is a veteran of the Seattle Tiger Sharks and Portland Wolfpack in the IFL, and has also competed in the WEC, Strikeforce, the World Series of Fighting, and Shark Fights. Early life Cole has wrestled his entire life, from third grade through college. In 2001 he received All-American honors while leading Southern Oregon University to a national championship.
