The Portland Trail Blazers Radio Network is an American radio network consisting of 18 radio stations which carry coverage of the National Basketball Association (NBA)'s Portland Trail Blazers. The Radio Network has one flagship station (KPOJ KPOJ (620 AM broadcasting, AM) is a commercial radio, commercial radio station in Portland, Oregon. Radio Network
There are two types of radio network currently in use around the world: the one-to-many (simplex communication) broadcast network commonly used for public information and mass media, mass-media entertainment, and the two-way radio (Duplex (telecommunications), duplex communication) type used more commonly for public safety and public services such as police, fire, taxicabs, and delivery services. Cell phones are able to send and receive simultaneously by using two different frequencies at the same time. Many of the same components and much of the same basic technology applies to all three. KTIX (1240 AM, "103.1 The Outlaw") is a radio station licensed to serve Pendleton, Oregon, United States. The station, which began broadcasting as KWRC in May 1941, is currently owned by Randolph and Debra McKone's Elkhorn Media Group and the broadcast license is held by EMG2, LLC. Programming KTIX previously broadcast a 24-hour sports radio format as an affiliate of ESPN Radio from October 2002 through at least early 2018. Astoria is a Port, port city in and the county seat of Clatsop County, Oregon, United States. On October 23, 2008, KRCO started broadcasting on 96.9 FM (call sign K245BC) via translator. KNPT
KNPT (1310 AM, "Newstalk 1310") was a radio station broadcasting a news–talk format. Licensed to Newport, Oregon, United States, the station was owned by Yaquina Bay Communications, Inc., and featured programming from ABC News Radio and Westwood One. History KNPT signed on June 28, 1948, and was first licensed on February 2, 1949. Thomas R. Becker's Yaquina Radio sold the station and KNPT-FM 102.5 to Charmar Broadcasting (led by Charles F. King, a former general sales manager for KPAM-AM- FM in Portland) for $1 million in 1979. KORE (1050 AM) is a commercial radio station dual licensed to Springfield and Eugene, Oregon. It airs a sports radio format and is owned by KORE Broadcasting, LLC. The studios and offices are on Willagillespie Road off Oregon Route 132 in Eugene. By day, KORE is powered at 5,000 watts non-directional. As 1050 AM is a Mexican clear channel frequency reserved for XEG-AM in Monterrey, KORE reduces power at night to 105 watts.
