Portimonense S.C. (basketball)
Portimonense Sporting Clube, commonly known as Portimonense Basquetebol or simply Portimonense is a professional basketball team based in the city of Portimão, Portugal, that plays in the Proliga (Portugal) basketball league. It is a part of the Portimonense sports club. In 2020, the team guaranteed the promotion to Proliga, the second tier of the sport in Portugal. They obtained their first national title by triumphing in the final, played on July 4 in Barreiro, over Galitos de Aveiro by 71–62. The Proliga is a basketball league in Portugal organised by the Portuguese Basketball Federation (FPB). Portimão
Portimão () is a city and a municipality in the district of Faro, in the Algarve region of southern Portugal. The population in 2011 was 55,614, in an area of 182.06 km2. Basketball

Founded on 14 August 1914, it is most notable for its professional association football, football team, which currently plays in the Primeira Liga, the top flight of Portuguese football league system, Portuguese football. It also fields various youth teams and a veterans team in football, as well as teams in basketball. Located in Algarve's second largest city, its stadium, the ''Estádio Municipal de Portimão'', has a capacity of 9,544 spectators after undergoing renovation in early 2011. Barreiro, Portugal
Barreiro () is a city and a municipality in Setúbal District in Portugal. The population in 2011 was 78,764, in an area of 36.39 km2. Barreiro has a view of the city of Lisbon from Avenida da Praia and a riverside area called Alburrica. The mayor since 2017 has been Frederico Rosa, elected by the Socialist Party. The municipal holiday is June 28. History There are records of the village of Barreiro from as far as the 13th century, when the Military Order of Saint James of the Sword promoted its settlement. Due to the village's location, the main occupation of the population was harvesting salt and fishing.
