Popular Liberalism
Popular Liberalism (''Liberalismo Popolare'', LP), subsequently known also as Houses of the Citizen (''Case del Cittadino'', CdC), was a liberal faction within Forza Italia, a political party in Italy. The group was basically composed of those Liberals (former members of the Italian Liberal Party, PLI) who formed the Union of the Centre in 1993, after the PLI's dissolution, took part to the Pole of Freedoms/Pole for Freedoms coalition and finally joined Forza Italia in 1999, continuing its activity through the association Liberal Union of the Centre (''Unione Liberale di Centro'', ULdC). Forza Italia

The Italian Liberal Party (, PLI) was a liberal political party in Italy. The PLI, which was heir to the liberal currents of both the Historical Right and the Historical Left, was a minor party after World War II, but also a frequent junior party in government, especially after 1979. The Pole of Freedoms () was a centre-right political and electoral alliance in Italy, launched at the 1994 general election by Silvio Berlusconi. Its counterpart in central and southern Italy was the Pole of Good Government, both forming the first incarnation of the centre-right coalition. Differently from the other coalitions in the Italian history, it was simply a political, and not an administrative alliance, so contributing to its failure. The Pole for Freedoms () was a centre-right political and electoral alliance in Italy, which was active from 1996 to 2000. It included Forza Italia (FI), the National Alliance (AN), Union of the Centre (UdC), Christian Democratic Centre (CCD), United Christian Democrats (CDD), and Pannella–Sgarbi List. Alfredo Biondi
Alfredo Biondi (29 June 1928 – 24 June 2020) was an Italian politician and lawyer. In 1994 he served as Italian Minister of Justice, Minister of Justice of the Italian Republic during the first cabinet chaired by Silvio Berlusconi. Biography Born in Pisa, Biondi was Secretary of the Italian Liberal Party (1943), Italian Liberal Party (PLI) from 1985 to 1986, and later its president. He was a member of the Italian Chamber of Deputies from June 1968 to May 1972, and then from June 1983 to April 2006. He was a Italian Senate, Senator from April 2006 to April 2008. In 1993, together with the last PLI leader, Raffaele Costa, Biondi founded the Union of the Centre (1993), Union of the Centre, a small faction of the new Forza Italia (FI) party. Raffaele Costa
Raffaele Costa (born 8 September 1936) is an Italian politician. He was the president of the Province of Cuneo from June 2004 to June 2009. He was previously a member of the Italian Chamber of Deputies representing the Italian Liberal Party and later Forza Italia between 1976 and 2003, and was also a member of the European Parliament of the European People's Party until June 2004. His son, Enrico Costa, is also a politician and was Italian Minister of Regional Affairs and Autonomies in the Renzi Cabinet and the Gentiloni Cabinet.
