Poplar Grove (Salt Lake City)
Poplar Grove is a western neighborhood of Salt Lake City, Utah. It lies north of Glendale (Salt Lake City), Glendale and south of Rose Park (Salt Lake City), Rose Park & Fairpark, Salt Lake City, Fair Park. It is the second largest neighborhood in Salt Lake City (after Glendale) and is often confused with Glendale. History Poplar Grove broke off from Glendale in the 1990s, following Salt Lake City Neighborhood Guidelines by submitting paperwork to the Salt Lake City Council for approval. Poplar Grove existed as a neighborhood long before Glendale was created. It got its name from a grove of trees the Edwin Rushton family planted in the area that became known as "Poplar Grove" in the late-1800s. Being the first neighborhood in Salt Lake City to change the original set boundaries, Poplar Grove now has its own community council with elected board members. Rose Park (Salt Lake City)
Rose Park is a neighborhood located in the northwest area of Salt Lake City, Utah, and is among the most ethnically diverse areas in Utah. Its name comes from the area's original developer, who arranged part of the area's streets in the shape of several roses, with one of its main streets, American Beauty Drive, acting as a long rose stem. This area's original roof shingles were red or green and its street names all feature rose varieties. Rose Park residents enjoy a very short commute (less than 5 minutes) to downtown, high bikeability, and many recreational amenities. Fairpark, Salt Lake City
Fairpark is a western neighborhood of Salt Lake City, Utah. It lies north of Poplar Grove (Salt Lake City), Poplar Grove and south of Rose Park (Salt Lake City), Rose Park. It is one of the smaller neighborhoods in Salt Lake and is often confused with Rose Park. On the east it is bordered by 500 West and extends west to 1460 West, then following the Jordan River (Utah), Jordan River to 700 North, the boundary then curves down to 600 North back to 500 West. On its south, Fairpark is bordered by North Temple which features the iconic restaurantRed Iguana This area is rich with diversity, and growing as the city expands west.
