''Poovum Puyalum'' () is a 1988 Indian Tamil-language film directed by S. A. Chandrasekhar and produced by Madhampatty Sivakumar, who also wrote the story. Palaniswamy Gounder (born 27 October 1941), better known by his stage name Sivakumar, is an Indian visual artist and former actor who has appeared in Tamil cinema and television. He made his acting debut in '' Kaakum Karangal'' (1965) and has worked in 195 movies, predominantly in Tamil cinema. He has won three Filmfare Awards South and two Tamil Nadu State Film Awards. Malaysia Vasudevan
Vasudevan (15 June 1944 – 20 February 2011), popularly known as Malaysia Vasudevan, was a prolific Tamil playback singer and actor. Born in the town of Kuala Selangor in the Federated Malay States (present day Malaysia), he moved to Chennai, Tamil Nadu to work in the Tamil film industry, where he rose to prominence. T Sadasivam was the magazine's co-founder. The magazine is known for its publication of historic novels such as '' Ponniyin Selvan'' and '' Sivagamiyin Sabadham''. Singer Semmangudi Srinivasa Iyer, guru of M S Subbulakshmi, and music critic S V Seshadri were also involved with the magazine in its coverage of music. Subha is the name used by the writing partnership of D. Suresh and A. N. Balakrishnan, who write stories, detective novels and screenplays in Tamil. Work The duo began co-authoring stories when they were in college together, and have been publishing their work since 1979. They have published more than 450 short novels and more than 400 short stories. Most of their detective novels feature the characters Narendran and Vaijayanthi of Eagle Eye Detective Agency, and their coworker John Sundar. Other characters created by Subha are Selva and Murugesan, who also feature in their detective stories, and John Sembaruthi, who is a character in some of Subha's novels set in the army. Uma Ramanan
Uma Ramanan (1954/1955 – 1 May 2024) was an Indian playback singer, predominantly in the Tamil language. She was also a live stage performer who appeared in more than 6,000 concerts spanning 35 years. Ramanan came from the Tamil Nadu state of India. Personal life and background Whilst studying, Ramanan went through classical music training under Pazhani Vijayalakshmi. She participated in many inter-collegiate competitions and won several rewards and accolades. Later, she met A. V. Ramanan, a television host, performer and actor, who was on the look out for fresh voices for his stage concerts. From then, Uma and Ramanan became duo stage performers.
