A bridge is a structure built to span a physical obstacle (such as a body of water, valley, road, or rail) without blocking the way underneath. It is constructed for the purpose of providing passage over the obstacle, which is usually something that is otherwise difficult or impossible to cross. Gabry Ponte
Gabriele Ponte (; born 20 April 1973) is an Italian DJ, remixer, record producer, and radio personality, best known for his membership in the Italian dance band Eiffel 65. With Eiffel 65's rise to fame in the late 1990s, his celebrity status was established. He later went on to produce the Italian hit single "Geordie" (a cover of Fabrizio de André's song by the same name, sung by Italian vocalist Stefania Piovesan), which was rewarded with gold record for selling over 25,000 copies, as well as hits "Time to Rock", "Got to Get", and "La Danza delle Streghe" (English: "The Dance of the Witches"). Also to his credit are a number of remixes of popular songs such as Gianni Togni's "Giulia" and O-Zone's " Dragostea Din Tei", among others. Piero De Ponte
Fra' Piero del Ponte (26 August 1462 – 17 November 1535) was the 45th Grand Master of the Order of Saint John between 1534 and 1535. He hailed from Asti, in northern Italy and was a descendant of the ancient family of Casal-Gros and Lombriax. He became a Knights Hospitaller and was the Order's governor of the island of Lango when Rhodes fell to the Ottomans on New Year's Day 1523, and was still there in 1534 when he received the news of his election to the office of Grand Master of the Order, to succeed Philippe Villiers de L'Isle-Adam at Malta. After he was elected he spent two months in Calabria, and arrived in Malta on 10 November 1534. The first coins of the Order to be minted in Malta were stuck during del Ponte's reign. In June 1535 the Grandmaster sent the Order's navy to fight in the victorious conquest of Tunis. Del Ponte died on 18 November 1535, 15 months after his election. Moshe Ponte Moshe Ponte (also "Ponti"; he, משה פונטה; born August 29, 1956) is an Israeli former Olympic judoka. He is the President of the Israel Judo Association. He was born in Israel, and is Jewish. Judo career His coach was Morris Smadga. Ponte competed for Israel at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, California, in judo. In the Men's Half-Middleweight (U78) he came in tied for 20th, after losing to Michel Nowak of France, who won the bronze medal at the Olympics. When he competed in the Olympics he was 5-10.5 (180 cm) tall, and weighed 172 lbs (78 kg). He won a silver medal at the Belgian Open Championships Visé in 1986 in the U86 category.
