PontAuRail
PontAuRail is a voluntary association created in 1995 to run trains between Pont-Audemer and Honfleur in France. The group comprises approximately fifty voluntary members, of which twenty are active. An agreement, ''une convention signée'', allows PontAuRail to use the line between Pont-Audemer and Honfleur on request on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank holidays. The trip along the Risle valley lasts fifty-five minutes, including manoeuvers; closing of the semi-automatic level crossings in Pont-Audemer and shunting in Honfleur. Rolling stock PontauRail operates with two French Diesel multiple units, X2426 and X4555. * Railcar X2426 was officially decommissioned on 27 September 1987 in Limoges. Saved from scrapping, it became the property of the Train Touristique du Cotentin until 1995 when it was purchased by the Risle Seine SIVOM to create pleasure railway service between Pont-Audemer and Honfleur. Gare De Pont-Audemer
Gare de Pont-Audemer is a former railway station in the market town of Pont-Audemer, Eure in Upper Normandy. The station is on the railway line from Paris-Saint-Lazare to Honfleur via Brionne. The CF de l'Ouest company built the line from Glos-Montfort and opened it on 23 August 1867, with an extension to Honfleur opened 8 August 1889. SNCF Class X 2400
SNCF's X 2400 are a class of railcars. The 79 XABDP 2400, unifiés were built from 1951 to 1955. They were capable of carrying 12 passengers in 1st class and 56 in 2nd class, they were long and capable of reaching a top speed of . The railcars were often coupled to trailers of coupled to other units. The class was put into service along the X 3800, ''Picasso''. These railcars facilitated the phasing out of steam traction and to renew aging railcar stock. The class was first allocated to Limoges and onto the lines of the Massif Central, coupled to XR 8000 trailers. The X 2400 was quickly accompanied by the X 2800 railcars, equipped with one engine only, but more powerful. The maintenance cost of the X 2400 was greater than the one-engined X 2800 and so the class was moved to Rennes. TER Haute-Normandie
TERTransport Express Régional Haute Normandie was the regional rail network serving the former region of Upper Normandy in France. In 2016 it was merged into the new TER Normandie. Risle
The Risle (; less common: ''Rille'') is a long river in Normandy, left tributary of the Seine. The river begins in the Orne department west of L'Aigle, crosses the western part of the department of Eure flowing from south to north and out into the estuary of the Seine on the left bank near Berville-sur-Mer. Its upper valley is part of the Pays d'Ouche, its lower valley separates the regions of the Lieuvin and Roumois. The Risle is regarded as a coastal river. Fishing is common downstream at Pont-Audemer. On July 30, 2012, the Risle vanished in a ponor between La Ferrière-sur-Risle and La Houssaye. It runs underground for . Its only major tributary is the Charentonne. Veghel () is a town and a former municipality in the southern Netherlands. On 1 January 2017 Veghel, together with Schijndel and Sint-Oedenrode, merged into a new municipality called Meierijstad creating the largest municipality of the province North-Brabant in terms of land area. Ringwood, Hampshire
Ringwood is a market town in south-west Hampshire, England, located on the River Avon, close to the New Forest, northeast of Bournemouth and southwest of Southampton. It was founded by the Anglo-Saxons, and has held a weekly market since the Middle Ages. Hervé Morin (born 17 August 1961) is a French politician of the Centrists who has been serving as the first President of the Regional Council of Normandy since January 2016. Alexis Vastine (17 November 1986 – 9 March 2015) was a French boxer who won a bronze medal at the 2008 Summer Olympics in the Light Welterweight division.
