Pomeroy, County Tyrone
Pomeroy is a small village and civil parish in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. It is in the townland of Cavanakeeran, about from Cookstown, from Dungannon and from Omagh. Pomeroy Parker (March 17, 1874 – December 30, 1946) was a private serving in the United States Marine Corps during the Spanish–American War who received the Medal of Honor for bravery. Pomeroy Railway Station
Pomeroy railway station served Pomeroy, County Tyrone, Pomeroy in County Tyrone in Northern Ireland. The Portadown, Dungannon and Omagh Junction Railway opened the station on 2 September 1861. In 1876 it was taken over by the Great Northern Railway (Ireland), Great Northern Railway. Throughout its history it had the highest altitude of any Irish gauge railway station in Ireland. West of Pomeroy the railway reached its summit, above sea level, the highest point on Ireland's Irish gauge network. It closed on 15 February 1965. Routes References

The Pomeroy and Newark Railroad was a predecessor of the Pennsylvania Railroad in the U.S. states of Delaware and Pennsylvania. It connected Pomeroy, Pennsylvania to Newark, Delaware, and has mostly been abandoned. History The Pomeroy and Newark Railroad was the final step in a series of consolidations and a foreclosure. The earliest predecessors were the Delaware and Pennsylvania Railroad, incorporated February 1857 in Delaware, and the Pennsylvania and Delaware Railroad, incorporated August 1868 in Pennsylvania as the Doe Run and White Clay Creek Railroad, and renamed August 1870. Pomeroy Tucker (August 10, 1802 – June 30, 1870) was a journalist and New York politician. Early life Born in Palmyra, New York, in 1802, Tucker served an apprenticeship as a printer in Palmyra, became a contributor to the Canandaigua ''Messenger'', and in 1823 established the ''Wayne Sentinel'' as a Democratic organ. Pomeroy (renamed Solomon Linda in 2022) is a small town on the R33 (South Africa), R33 road in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, some 72 kilometers north of Greytown, KwaZulu-Natal, Greytown and 56 kilometers south-south-east of Dundee, KwaZulu-Natal, Dundee.
