Poltava Rifle Battalion (Ukraine)
The Poltava Battalion () is a Ukrainian battalion that is part of the Special Tasks Patrol Police, under the authority of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The unit consists of approximately 300 policemen, aged between 18 and 45. Various charity organizations in Ukraine have provided basic supplies and medical care for the volunteers of the battalion. In July 2014, the battalion was deployed to participate in the War in Donbas. On 5 September 2014, the "Myrnyi" police company was merged into the "Poltava" police battalion. The Special Police Forces () is a Ukrainian volunteer corps of law enforcement units, part of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. History In April 2014, Minister of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov issued an order to create battalions of special purpose within the Ministry of Internal Affairs structure. Their goal was to protect public order and important facilities across Ukraine, but all of these units were eventually sent to the east to counter Russian aggression. Illia Kyva
Illia Volodymyrovych Kyva (2 June 1977 – 6 December 2023) was a Ukrainian politician who was a member of the Verkhovna Rada (the Ukrainian parliament) from August 2019 until March 2022, when he fled to Russia. Kyva worked as an official and policeman before entering politics, heading the Poltava chapter of the Right Sector party before serving as the leader of the Socialist Party of Ukraine from 2017 to 2019. He ran unsuccessfully for the presidency in March 2019, then was elected to the Verkhovna Rada in July 2019 as a member of the Opposition Platform — For Life party. Kremenchuk Company (Ukraine)
The Kremenchuk Company is a company of the Special Tasks Patrol Police subordinated to Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. The company is based in Kremenchuk. It was established in 2014 in the wake of the War in Donbass and has, since then seen regular combat on the frontlines.
