Pololo (footballer)
Miguel Durán Terry, better known by his nickname Pololo (5 August 1901 – October 1934), was a Spanish footballer who played as a defender for Athletic Madrid. He was assassinated in Oviedo during the Asturias Revolution of 1934. Club career Miguel Durán Terry was born in Asturias as the only son of Miguel Durán Walkinshaw, director of ''la fábrica de Explosivos de Coruño y Santa Bárbara'' (an Explosives factory). At the end of the second decade of the 20th century, he went to Madrid to study a career as a Mining Engineer, in whose High School the Athletic Club of Madrid (currently known as Atlético Madrid) had been created a few years before. Santiago Bernabéu (footballer)
Santiago Bernabéu de Yeste (; 8 June 1895 – 2 June 1978) was a Spanish footballer who played for Real Madrid as a forward. He is widely regarded one of the most important figures in the history of Real Madrid, having served as its president for 35 years, from 11 September 1943 until his death in 1978. Under Bernabéu's leadership, Real Madrid became a dominant team both on national and international level, with its influence stretching beyond the football pitch. Miguel Mieg
Miguel Mieg Alonso (29 September 1896 – 19 April 1981), was a Spanish footballer who played as a midfielder for Athletic Club de Madrid. A historical member of Athletic Madrid in the late 1910s, he was one of the first footballers to play for them for his entire career, and thus to be part of the so-called one-club men group. The 1923–24 Prince of Asturias Cup was the sixth tournament of the Prince of Asturias Cup, which is an inter-regional football competition contested by the regional selections of Spain. Rogelio Barril Fernández (1 March 1898 – Unknown) was a Spanish footballer who played as a forward for Real Oviedo. He is best known for scoring the first goal in the history of Real Oviedo in an official match. José Luis Zabala (14 December 1898 – 22 April 1946) was a Spanish footballer who played as a forward. He played in four matches for the Spain national football team in 1923 and 1924, scoring four goals, including a hat-trick against Portugal on 16 December of 1923. Club career Born in Irun, he began to play football in the youth ranks of his hometown club Sporting de Irún. After short spells at Izarra de Eibar and Unión de Irun, Zabala joined Espanyol in 1918, where he played for a season as a midfielder.
